Policy Resources

A resource for sample policies and rules for law enforcement agencies is the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, "Sample Directives for Virginia Law Enforcement Agencies," which also include a bibliography of policy sources. Keep in mind, any policy and rule must be in agreement with state and federal law in your jurisdiction and should be approved by your legal advisor before adoption. See notice to LELP website users.
