After breakfast all the kids are called to the music cabin for a group lesson. Trixie, Uschi and Alyssa are waiting inside holding handbells. There are 24 bells arranged on the table in 3 sets of 8 bells each. Trixie sends the kids over to the table of bells as they come in, telling the children to stand in the same order they get their bells so the notes will be arranged correctly.

Mimi and Lulu get their bells first, followed by Andy, Drew and Kelly. The kids take a bell and move onto the bleachers to wait for the others.

Butch and Lila Jean are next to take bells, and then Seamus, Maggie and Lenis get theirs.

Kevin, Nelson and Paul take their bells and Jennifer, Seth, and Arianna are not far behind. There is only one octave set left now.

Kevin, Heidi, Kusafiri and Brian had all checked off "handbells" under instruments they were familiar with on their camp applications. When they go to get their bells, Trixie asks them to each take 2 bells. She explains it takes more concentration, but once you get into the pattern it is not that much harder to manage than a single bell.

The kids all have their bells now and it's time to learn how to use them!
