Finally it is dinnertime and most of the kids make their way to the mess hall except one or two who just aren't hungry enough or energetic enough to get some chow. As the kids get their choice of mexican dishes there is some chatter but not much as hungry mouths are busy chewing.

Two long tables seat the campers, with fruit platters and long loaves of fresh bread for everyone to share. Several large bowls of guacamole dip and chips are also spaced out between the tables. At least one camper is heard to say "Yo me gusta!"

Each child gets to pick from a wide variety of mexican specialties, from tacos, enchiladas, burritoes, tostadas, enchiritos and even chimichangas. There is even a lovely salad bar for those who aren't in a salsa state of mind.

A super special "Muchas Gracias" goes out to Lucy St. John who made all the delightful mini mexican food. She sells on ebay under the name Azcraft.

I will edit and upload the photos and stories as fast as I can so check back often for new stuff.
