Trixie welcomes the new campers and says hi to the previous campers as she conducts the orientation in the girls' cabin 1. She tells everyone the camp rules and where to find things, how to behave and what fun things are planned. The girls listen attentively.

"I see a lot of new faces this session!" she says. "Why don't we get to know each other a little bit?"

"Let's see...how many of you like painting?" Trixie asks, "Raise your hands."
Lots of the girls raise their hands. "Okay now, how many like to make necklaces and bead bracelets?" Even more hands go up.

"Lots of jewelry fans," Trixie says with a smile. "Okay now how many of you have brothers or sisters?" She lets all the girls who raised their hand say a little bit about their siblings.

"One more," she says. "How many of you have pets?" When almost every hand goes up Trixie lets each girl say her pet's name. "It looks like you girls have a lot in common! I hope you'll each find some friends this week."

Trixie then tells the girls to each take one of the pencils and start writing down the crafts and projects they'd like to try while they are at Craft Camp. She explains there are all kinds of fun things to do, from string art to horseriding, beading jewelry to gymnastics. The girls start to write down their favorites.

Adelaide can't wait to ride the horses and Emma and Maria have never made string art and can't wait to try it.
Kusafiri wants to make sand art while Sheena and Heather definitely like the jewelry idea.

Lenis has trouble spelling gymnastics but has no trouble doing it and is ready to tumble. Maggie says she'll try it with her but wants to try painting too.

Each girl chooses several activities to fill their time.

I will edit and upload the photos and stories as fast as I can so check back often for new stuff.
