Fun with string art!

Uschi helps the kids with a painting project and each child gets a terra cotta flowerpot to decorate with simple techniques. Uschi shows them easy ways to make dots and circles and then add wavy lines to make flowers all around the edges for a flowery flowerpot.

Maria starts in right away on her small-sized flowerpot while Maggie take a few minutes to plan her colors. Kusafiri jumps right in and works quickly, outlining the petals on her rim.
Butch thinks he might need a little help with his large flowerpot, but the twins are making good time with their dainty daisies!

Heather and Lenis watch Austin really zoom through his work and are really impressed. "I paint a lot of models at home," says Austin. "It makes good practice."
Austin, Brian and Chase outline their petals and wait for Uschi to explain the next step as Amanda works on her first flower in front of her. She may work slowly but she's going to be sure and do a good job.

Uschi shows them how to just add simple wavy lines and a few straight slashes for leaves and the stems are finished. Quick and easy and the children are done! What pretty pots!

I will edit and upload the photos and stories as fast as I can so check back often for new stuff.
