Alyssa welcomes the kids and lays out glass bottles and several plates with different colors of sand for the kids to use to make their sandart project.

After passing around several bottles of plain white sand for filler, Alyssa sits down next to Kelly to show the children how to shape the lines of sand inside their bottles.

The campers listen carefully as Alyssa shows them how to use spoons to drizzle small lines of color around the inside of the bottle then pick and push long toothpicks, forks, and spoons to make different shapes, how to make a V for a tiny bird with a short line of color then indent it at the center. She shows them how to use a fork to get zigzag lines.

The kids can't wait to get started! Alyssa keeps passing around different colors of sand to choose from and when they are all finished she squirts a little bit of glue in the top of each bottle to seal them before squeezing in a cork top. All done!

Seth and Kevin made red white and blue zigzags while Adelaide made her sandart in pretty shades of pink, green and blue.
Paul like the flag colors as well while Andy chose purple, red and yellow for his creation.

Drew and Bridey shared the same design of red, yellow, aqua while Ari went with yellow, red, purple.
Kelly decided to stick with pretty pastel colors of pink and yellow and Heidi made a patriotic one like some of the boys.
Heidi can't wait to bring her sandart home to show her mom.

I will edit and upload the photos and stories as fast as I can so check back often for new stuff.
