I used the baseplate from 6416 Poolside Paradise, and the clear dome walls from that set as well as 6411 Sand Dollar Cafe. I wanted as much light as possible in the house to highlight all the details.
On the first floor, is a double doorway, so that one may enter or exit without freeing any birds. Immediately inside the aviary is a stairway down into the lower pen where injured birds are cared for. I made several small cages with the upright poles topped off with 1x4x1 arches. Sadly, there was no way to get the camera to show that detail. To the left then is the passage into the main aviary with large curved windows, a sink, drawers full of supplies, water buckets, and many brooms for cleanup. There are dozens of perches all over the walls and floors. There is a small path to the front dome, full of a water pond and small bushes. That is the favorite spot of the single yellow cockatiel in the aviary. Birdy, one of the caretakers is on the main floor. You can see her looking out the North window, holding Rodney the raven on her hand.
Up the spiral stairs is the landing with more supplies. There is another small staircase to the second floor with its flower gardens, resting bench, and outside, the patio for the caretakers to have their lunch. Two of them are sharing a pizza today. Lorry sits on the bench talking to some of the birds.
The top floor is an open angled attic, with a shelf along the entire length, and a semi-circular window at the East and West ends of the house.
