Ivy Rain Faerie Dish
June 2000
This is a small highly detailed dish with open latticework. It began
with a very different theme, but as the ivy leaves continued to multiply,
the inspiration took to the charming little fairy sitting on her rock.
The ivy and vines and rain was all done freehand, as was most of the fairy.
It was wonderfully fun to make and took about 18 hours to make.
9 1/2" diameter

Large Fairy Bowl
July 1998

This is a huge round bowl I made of a fairy perched on a toadstool while a pixie
peeks from behind a flower stem. I tried for fun fantastical flowers in the
garden, and placed peapods on the outer rim. It took me approximately 24 hours
of work to produce and was one of my first major pieces of underglaze painting.
19" diameter

Small Fairy Bowl
November 1998

This is another fairy bowl, smaller in scale, but the detail I achieved was much
more skillfully executed as I'd had 4 months to practice. It took me
approximately 12 hours of work to produce.

14" diameter

Star Fairy Casserole
December 1998
One of my favorite pieces to date is this
large casserole container with deep blue
sponged background and a winged fairy
placing stars on the sides.

The cover and sides are covered with
pretty flowers, and an army of ants
marches on the inside of the dish.
It took me approximately
12 hours of work to produce.

9" wide by 12 1/2" long by 7" tall

Large Fairy
Casserole Crock
March 1999
This one is a great rounded crock, perfect for a casserole. It has a fairy in
flowing robes on each side, with vines of tiny flowers connecting the two fairies.
It took approximately 11 hours to produce.
8 1/2" diameter, 9" tall

Medium Fairy
Casserole Crock
May 1999
This is a smaller scale casserole dish, perfect for a side dish. It features
a fairy kneeling on the lid holding a huge sunflower. Tons of wild fantasy
flowers decorate the top and sides. It took approximately 14 hours to produce.
6" wide, 9" long and 5" tall

Winter Fairy Figurines
June 1999

This fun trio of fairies are all inspired by winter, each has a snowflake
skirt, and some play with snowballs. I understand there were more to this
series, but these are the only 3 carried by the studio I work at.
All 3 took approximately 13 hours to produce.
6" tall

Faerie Box
& Incense Burner
August 1999

This fun trinket box/incense burner was inspired by a rubber stamp I saw.
The front panel features a faerie in a round window of sorts, with extra
butterfly wings and antennae out of the window. I drilled holes in the
bisqueware before firing so I can place incense sticks on any or all of
the sides. It was wonderfully fun to make and took about 10 hours to make.
4" square at the base and 6" tall
