We visit our mom often in her home near Racine Wisconsin and her gardening is beyond awesome. After getting a new digital camera I just couldn't help myself and snapped the following photos. enjoy!

From fertile earth and sun we grow,
for but a second in the world's day.
if only for the briefest moment's show
we share our beauty then get swept away
The rainbow lies reflected in our smile
Our palette drawn from sky and sea and loam
and though it seems we linger but a while
all of God's great creatures call us home

So walk among us on a summer's day
or spend an autumn evening in our shade
we'll always be around you in some way
to bare a little beauty and then fade.
