This paperdoll booklet was published in 1980 under the Whitman Western Publishing
Logo and bears the name Susan Morris as the artist. The booklet has 4 "rooms" as
well as the exterior of a Victorian style house. The rooms portrayed are a parlour,
a bedroom, a kitchen, and a schoolroom with a schoolteacher.
There are 4 dolls not counting the teacher (who has a change of clothes, but is
not removable from the schoolroom wall). There are 4 pages of clothing, each page
including a rug or tablecloth or other accessory.
Carrie is in red with 5 dresses and 1 hat, Becky is in yellow with 5 dresses and 1
hat, Katie in blue with 5 dresses and 2 hats, and Sarah in orange with 4 dresses,
and 3 hats. The teacher also has a dress that fits into tabs on the schoolroom wall.
Some of the accessories included are a quilt, 2 seasonal rugs for autumn and Christmas,
wreaths boughs and a Xmas tree; desks, globe and artist's easel for the schoolroom;
bed for the bedroom, table and chairs for the kitchen; fireplace, endtables and
plants for the parlour; and plates and placemats for the table.
The set I have has the serial number 1837 and the stamped price of $2.00.
