She crawls out of bed quietly so as not to wake the other kids. There sure was a lot of sniffling last night. She stretches and admires the gorgeous view of the beach. She grabs the water jugs and sets off for the stream to fill them.

Mandy wakes up and decides to wash her hair this morning. She grabs clean clothing, the shampoo and goes to the kitchen area for the water jugs..."Hmmmmm, where are the water jugs?" she wonders. She glances over at the sleeping children. "There's Pierre, Trey and Lolli are in the hammock, Lola is over there...but where's Bri?"

Mandy shrugs her shoulders and walks to the stream. When she arrives, she sees Bri filling the jugs. "Morning, Bri!" "Do you want some help with those?" "I can come back and take my bath after." says Mandy with a smile.

"Morning, Mandy. I hope I didn't wake you. I was trying to be quiet. Yes, it would be great to have help. I feel bad that I haven't been able to do much around camp since everyone was working so hard already. Last night was really sad."

She grabs one of the jugs and is filling it with water. "I feel bad that the kids are all so attached to each other. Trey was talking about it not being fair... It seems like he is surprised that the game isn't fair. But fair for who? It's not fair that Lyda Ruth went home early. It's not fair that I am here now. It's not fair that there are crabs in out beds. Maybe we can be extra special nice to him today to cheer him up?"

It takes her a while to pump all the water through the purifier, but she is pleased that she has made a meaningful contribution to the well being of the tribe. She pokes the fire a little to keep it going, adding a few branches. Then she grabs a banana and a vitamin and heads off down the beach. She hollers softly back to Mandy, "Thanks for helping with the water. Sorry I can't stick around this morning. Have a great bath." Smiling and humming she skips off down the beach. She is humming to the tune of 'The Farmer in the Dell'.

"Okay, Bri, see ya later!" Mandy then heads back to the stream to pick up her clothes and shampoo and take her bath. When she arrives at the stream, she sees a crab on her clothes. "Get off of there!" she says angrily as she shakes the creature from her clothes. She then stomps on down stream to the bathing spot.

Once in the water, her tension washes away. She is at peace once more...

He grabs a banana, goes down to check the traps, there is one little fishy in Mandys trap. He walk over to the playground and just sits and tries to choak down his banana. This is NOT gonna be a good day.

Mandy climbs out of the water and dresses. She always feels better after a bath. She walks back to camp and passes the playground. There is Trey, sitting there all alone.

Mandy returns to camp. Most of the others are still sleeping. The kids in the hammock look cold, so Mandy grabs the beach blanket and covers them up with it.

Mandy decides to check on her fish trap. She walks down to the water. There is just one lone fish swimming in the trap. "Hmmmmm, I guess I'll have to check it again later," she thinks to herself. The tribe has quite a bit of fruit still left from yesterday, so she doesn't think it would be worthwhile to go gather more. Instead, she goes back for the beach umbrella and sunscreen. She returns to the beach, plops the umbrella down in the sand, slathers sunscreen on, and proceeds to create yet another sand castle. The sand is nice and wet from the tide, so she doesn't even need a bucket of water! Oh, what fun!

Lola wakes up and heads for the beach to wash her hair. Camp seems pretty quiet. When she's finished, she goes back to camp and selects a banana for breakfast, then grabs the gloves and heads into the woods to get more taro. Maybe some taro and banana cookies will cheer everyone up later, she thinks.

As the kids reach Challenge Beach, out in the water they see a row of logs setup. They are tld to wear their swimsuits so they all arrive in swimwear, and Gia is wearing hers too.

Gia smiles as holds up a single piece of pizza and she talks between bites as she eats it, stretching the cheese out just to really make you hungry.

"Today's reward is for a full Italian Dinner and pizza feast, but not just food, not just te cold salad, spaghetti, lasagna and fresh italian bread, not just the neapolitan ice cream and cannolis for dessert.. You also get a day of sailing! Who wants to win?!"

Some of the kids look less than enthusiastic today, so Gia passes around a cold soda to share and that perks up the kids just a little.

Everyone heads out to the legs. There are 3 of them in parallel rows, just like the kids ran across in the obstacle course. Gia explains that this will be a balance and endurance test! Everytime she yells jump, the kids have to yell back "how high?" and then jump to a different log, they can choose which log to jump to. The person to fall off each round will be eliminated until only 1 player is left.

The kids head out into the water and climb up on the logs. Gia goes out there and stands a little bit away from the logs. She smiles and lets everyone settle in.

After 10 minutes Gia yells "jump!" the kids yell back and each one takes their leap, some to the log in front of them, others to the one behind them,

Lolli, Pierre, and Trey make the jump first, landing and balancing with no problem, Mandy and Bri take a little longer, with Bri ALMOST wobbling off, but waving her arms until she balances again. Lola, however, is not so lucky, she wobbles and the more her arms wave the more she leans until finally she lands in the water with a splash. She groans and then moves over to where Gia is standing...

After another 15 minutes the kids are getting hot and tired and Gia again yells "jump!" the kids yell back "how high!" and make their leap of faith.

Lolli is amazing as she gracefully bounces to the next log, and Pierre is pretty agile too, and shortly after that Trey and Bri manage to land solidly on the next beam. Mandy lands solidly, but overshot and slides right off into the water, dunking herself and coming up sputtering. She too joins Gia.

After 15 more minutes the kids start shifting from leg to leg, anything to keep going. Gia again yells "jump!" and the kids yell back, someone, (which one?!) yelling "you first!" then giggling...

Pierre shows off those swamp skills and is the first to land perfectly on the middle log, followed quickly by Lolli and Bri, but when Trey lands on the middle log too it makes it bounce a little too much and Lollie loses it, spiralling her arms and then landing in the water between the beams. She swims underwater and moves to Gia and the others.

Only 3 players left on the logs this time, Pierre, Trey and Bri. As Gia yells jump, they looka t each, giggle and say nothing, but they do jump to the next spot, Bri and Pierre landig first, followed by Trey who lands perfectly, but looks around and Gia smiles then yells "jump!" again and the kids are not quite ready. Bri and Pierre make it a little less solidly than before, but Trey misses the outer log completely so he turns it into a cannonball as he splashes into the water to come up and move to Gia and the others.

With only the two of them left, Bri and Pierre smile at each other and then wait for Gia to call the last jump. She doesn't. the kids start to fidget, shifting from foot to foot and sweating in the hot sun. The kids in the water are watching but also playing a little in the waves. Gia just stares at Pierre and Bri, and then after 25 minutes when the kids think their legs are just going to melt, she yells "jump!" and so they do!

Bri lands first, but as Pierre picks the same log to jump to, it bounces beneath her and she loses it, wildly flailing her arms as she goes down, and as Gia tells Pierre he wins! he waves his arms above his head whooping. He then jumps off into the water to cool off! Gia congratulates him and tells him he can choose 1 player to share his meal and sailboat fun.

Mandy gets out of the water and dries off. She is thankful that they all used the sunblock today. They would have been "lobsters" by now if they hadn't. She looks at the others and says, "Who wants lunch!" and then runs toward the camp kitchen.

Mandy starts chopping up fruit and putting it into a bowl for fruit salad...

Lola sees Lolli heading for the beach. "Hey Lolli, don't you want to go with us?" She waits for an answer and shrugs. "Okay, Mandy. Looks like it's just the two of us. We'd better get the shovel. Follow me." Lola grabs the shovel and heads for the area where Gia told them the ravioli is buried. Lola digs up her can and hands it to Mandy. "Lolli and Bri will be surprised that we are going to have a good supper too." She leads the way back to camp.

Mandy awakens to a new day. She looks at her tally and realizes that today is the 68th day on the island! Wow! She dresses quickly and grabs the water jugs. She skips down the path to the stream and fills them quickly. Upon returning to camp, she puts more wood on the fire to keep it going and then starts hooking up the purifier to one of the jugs and an empty one. She pumps, and pumps and finally the first jug is done.

She starts the second one and pumps for quite some time as her arms are getting tired. When it, too, is finally finished, she pours both into the storage tank.

It's cloudy and overcast today with light to moderate shower coming fairly steadily throughout the day. One small trio of trees seems to make the perfect shower with the rain dripping off their leaves in a steady pattern and good flowing stream. It's only 84 degrees, no real breeze and the water is a little choppy so be careful swimming.

Lola wakes up feeling very energetic. She decides to mix up the bananas and taro from yesterday that she was going to make cookies with. She hopes Mandy is successful finding more. After she gets the batter mixed up, she bakes it over the fire. Dodging the raindrops, she dashes down to check Mandy's fish trap. Alas, it's empty. She wonders if someone checked it earlier or if there just weren't any fish yet. Giving a shrug, she heads back to camp to read for a while since no one is around to play games.

Lola You never ate cold canned goods. LOL you city people. Sorry but cold ravolies is good. Mommy gives them to me all the time. If it is a real wet year it is hard to get dry wood for the stove. So we get canned goods cold lots of time. It is usaully wet in the swamp. LOL We do stack the wood up under shelter but then comes a storm and we have wet wood. How do you all do your cooking? Do you have one of those fancy electric stoves? I even saw one that you can control the fire with a switch. Those are neat. Or do you all use wood like everyone else?

A new week begins, and it is a strange shock to realize only a few short weeks remain to your island adventure. The singing choirs exhilirate you and bring a calm peace that reminds you to just enjoy what you can, the cool sea spray against your cheekbones, the lush green beauty of the jungle, the calm steady slapping of the waves against the shore, and the abundance of stunning flowers and heady scents of the jungle blooms.

It's overcast and cloudy, but no rain so far, and it is only 82 degrees, with a nice cooling breeze felt only when you are closer to the beach.

Mandy quickly fills the jugs and lugs them back to camp. She hooks up the purifier pump and starts pumping the water into the empty jugs. "This is so tiring!" she thinks to herself. "I still think the boiling method would be better." After quite awhile, the task is finished. Mandy goes and puts on her swim suit and walks out to the ocean to cool down in the waves. She sits on the beach at the water's edge and lets the waves lap over her feet and legs. It is so relaxing...

She awakes in the shelter and stares blankly up at the ceiling, studying the leaves and branches intertwined. She lays there thinking that she is sorry she had to disappear the last few days. She has been feeling exceptionally homesick! The reason she came to Li'l Survivor island is because of her li'l brother, Steven Michael. He has been very sick and in the hospital. Her mommy and daddy argue about bills and it has been very upsetting. She thought that if she were to win the game she could make all those bad problems go away. All she wants is for Steven Michael to get better and come back home! But since she was not able to be part of the original tribes she thought her dreams were lost. Camping on the other side of the island wasn't exactly the same as being in Ocono or Nicarong, but she has been here just as long as the other kids... She is starting to feel really sad because she doesn't know if Steven Michael is better or worse or what. It doesn't seem like the kids have given her a chance to be their friend, either. At times she doesn't even feel like she has a chance. It's not fair and she whimpers a little, shedding small tears. She wipes her eyes determinedly and crawls out of the shelter. "I'm a survivor!" she says determinedly to sky. She gathers her clothes and the shampoo and soap and heads off to the stream to bathe.

from Colleen: Good morning kids! the sun and the blue sky seem so lovely today there is not a hint of rain. It is 84 degrees with not much of a breeze, but the heat isn't too bad. If you look out the dolphins are playing in the lagoon and doing tricks and showing off. They aren't close enough to swim to, but are definitely worth seeing.

as you all arrive at challenge beach you see an archery target and 3 different colored arrows! (more details as each of you takes the challenge) Lola reluctantly takes off the immunity necklace. She then listens to Gia explain about the different colored arrows and says she will go first.

Lola steps up to the target and picks 6 of the most difficult arrows, and shoots them one after the other. Out of the 6, she has 2 miss entirely, then she gets 4 perfect bullseyes! worth 25 points each for a total score of 100 points.

She walks back up stream and fills the water jugs and brings them back to camp. Mandy decides to stoke up the fire and purify the water the old fashioned way...she dumps it all into the big pot and boils it!

He walks to the fire and starts the oatmeal. You here him talking to himself, "OK its voting day, I have to campaign to get everyones votes." He runs into the jungle and goes back with 4 flowers and a piece of fruit. He puts each flower in a coconut cup and places one by sleeping Lolli, Lola, and Bri. He puts the papaya at pierres head. Then he runs the last flower down to Mandy on the Beach. "Hey Mandy, kool castle. Are you about ready for oatmeal?" He hands her the flower, "Remember today is voting day, Please vote for me. I will make you proud" he laughs and turns and yells at her, "please!".

"Lola, the hardest thing on me and either Lolli and Pierre, is that we know one of our friends is a traitor. We all thought we were family, but I guess most familys have black sheep. The problem is that we don't know which one of the other 2 it is. It is hard for us to believe that one of the other Nicarong team would do this and we have no idea who to trust. There is noone to talk to, I guess I'm acting different because I want you to vote for me, and each week I hope it might be my last here and I am NOT going to be miserable. I just don't have much time to spend hanging around here lately, and I don't think it is fair to the hard workers."

"I understand what you're saying about feeling funny about wondering who voted against the members of your tribe. Sometimes it's hard to tell who your friends really are."

sorry if this makes some of you worry overnight though, wanted to mention 2 things, after tonight there are only 3 more immunity challenges left and if we keep up at this same pace we could be done by a week from friday depending on holiday schedules and stress levels ... the end is near folks and I want to make this as fun as possible

the management is entertaining any and all suggestions for immunity challenges. if you get a chance in the next day or two, send me at least 2 ideas that you know you'd be good at, or really enjoy. thanks!

from Colleen:I have all votes and as everyone packs up their things for tribal council they look around at Kamp Kansi, new friends, new hopes and definitely fears of being sent away tonight.

You look at the jungle as you walk to tribal council, really noticing it for the first time in a while. You have seen flowers bloom from start to finish in the time you've been here. you have seen the baby crabs hatch after a full moon beach frenzy three times now. The island has changed you more than you thought possible and less than you might imagine. As you walk to the council, wondering who will join the jury tonight, you can't help but think of how the time has passed, how different things must be at home, and how in only 2 more weeks or less this will all be over.

In silence you enter the clearing and see Meghan and Aggie sitting on the jury bench. They look clean and well fed! They meet your eyes but do not show any emotion. Gia gestures for everyone to get settled then she has one simple question for each player. Gia says "Short and sweet, answer as honestly as you choose, Would you rather be an honest loser or a dishonest winner?" (answers posted earlier today)... you have 30 minutes to change your vote before they become final

Thanks tho" He gets up and pulls the Lobster trap in. " The lobsters love them when they go bad." he loads the trap and sets it back in the water. Well, I guess I may as well go to bed after I wash all the dishes."

The last to vote brings Gia the drum and she begins to read the votes. "First vote, Pierre" she says. "Second vote Mandy" she continues.

She lays the votes in piles. "Another vote for Mandy," she rads, then says "another vote for Pierre." She reaches into the drum again, calling out "Fifth vote, one for Bri." She looks at the anxious players. "This last vote could cause a 3 way way tie." She opens it and reads it off. "last vote Mandy. Mandy the tribe has spoken, bring me your torch."
