When Trey went to bed, he was confused. Now everything seems so obvious. He gets up, puts Lolli's teddy back in her arms, puts some wood on the fire, and goes to chack the traps.

Gets up finally after laying in the shelter for a good while crying softly. She looks over and sees more flowers left, only this time there isn't one for her. It's so quiet this morning without Mandy. Her mommy told her it wasn't going to be easy playing this game and now she is beginning to understand. All she can think about is her little brother, Steven Michael, sick in the hospital. She wants more than anything to be able to win the game for him! She holds her lucky troll Charlie tight. She wipes away her tears and sniffles a little as she crawls out of the shelter. She gets the water jugs and hauls them off to the stream to fill. Fetching water just won't be as much fun without Mandy.

Lola wakes up feeling sad, remembering that she won't see Mandy's smiling face today. She hopes her friend is comfortable in the hotel and is having fun getting better acquainted with Meggie and Aggie. Lola spies the flower and forces a smile. At least she has one friend left. She heads for the beach to was her hair, then goes down to check Mandy's fish trap. No fish yet. She returns to shore and settles down to read her book, mapping out her strategy. She wonders if Bri really has a brother.

Trey says, "Hi ladies, how are you this evening? Has anyone checked the Lobster traps today. I put the rank cookie in there last night. They like the stinky stuff." He hangs the bananas under the shelter and covers them with his shirt so they will ripen.

The kids all come to Challenge beach and see Gia standing next to a wheeled hot dog cart! She shows everyone a footlong hotdog with all the works and withi it is a hot pretzel and cold soda!. Gia smiles and then says to win the wiener all you have to do it win the beannbag toss. She shows everyone a waist high 3 tiered basket on a wobbly round base. She gives it a push and starts it spinning. Picking up a bean bag she throws it, and then another until her fourth try makes it in.

"Simple!" she says and then gives every player a handful of beanbags. The first to get 10 bean bags in the basket wins the dog!

She smiles and then says "ready! set! throw!" and then stands out of the way as everyone starts tossing the beanbags at the basket. Miss miss miss! They rebound off the lid and bounce off the sides.

Lola gets one on her first try, Pierre and Bri get one in almost simultaneously. Gia keeps going around to hand everyone more beanbags and gives the basket an extra spin when it starts slowing down. The beanbags are flying as everyone misses the next 2 or 3 throws, then Bri gets her second one in!

Trey gets a shot in the basket! and then another, with Pierre's next hit barely sliding in. Lola and Lollie are getting frustrated as they see Trey sink two more as he finally finds the knack of aiming for that spinning target. Pierre gets another one in too!

Gia smiles as she keeps track. "That's 4 for Bri and Pierre, 5 for Trey and 1 for Lola!"

Bri...I'm sorry that you are sad...sometimes it is hard for some of us...you have only been here for a little while...some of us are dealing with the fact that we have a traitor in our families...we don't know for sure who to trust and who not to...I miss my family that have left...sometimes MORE than I miss my real family! I don't think anybody is being hurtful on purpose...my mommy says that sometimes...when we are hurting...we strike out at those we love the most! He takes his vitamin and grabs a banana to eat on the way down to get cleaned up. He runs back to get the shampoo, and grab some clean clothes. Its time to taake a bath. Ahhhh, Calgone, as he slides onto the stream and relaxes.

Trey finishes up his bath, washing the clothes he just took off and putting a clean set on. It's really nice to have soap and shampoo. Who would have ever thought I just said that. I wish I could have won them at the picnic for Nicarong. We really were a stinky bunch, but we did what we could.

Trey get back to camp and puts away the shampoo and soap, and hangs his clothes on the bush to dry. He loads some wood an the fire and goes ahead and cooks oatmeal. They need oatmeal to fill them up, even though it will be cold when everyone gets up, they can just grab a bowl and go. He heads to the jungle to go get firewood.

from Colleen: like the song goes, baby it's hot hot hot! It's only 86 but with a heat index of 96 degrees. It's cloudy and calm and you are just gonna roast today. Even the lizards look hot!

you find you are starting to be in one of the short fruit slumps where the new stuff is too small/unripe and the old stuff has already been picked over by you or the island animals.

I'm up early! (who'd have thought it?!) so anyone who wants to take the challenge, just email me. I will be available MOST of today, except for 5:30-7:30 central where I will check in sporadically for emails but won't be glued to the keyboard.

She crawls out from the shelter and stretches from head to toe. It is so great to wake up to such a beautiful place with the blue waters, quiet beach, and tropical plants all around. Almost paradise! Her tummy is grumbling loudly. She is really hungry since she slept through dinner. She goes over to the fire and sees a pot of cooked oatmeal. It is cold, but she doesn't care. She is careful to take only her rationed amount. She settles down by the fire and forces herself to eat her oatmeal slow to make it last. But it is too hard and after a few shovels she reaches the bottom of the bowl. She washes it down with water and a vitamin. She washes up her dishes and puts them neatly away. She pokes at the fire and makes sure it is still going steady. Then she gets the soap and shampoo and her clothes and heads off to bathe and wash her clothes.

Watch out today, though! I'm ready to make up for lost time." (smiling and laughing)

Trey comes back into camp, whistling, then stopping himself when he sees the girls are asleep. He goes and takes a portion of the fish to eat and leaves the rest for whoever isn't in camp yet. He checks on Lolli and makes sure her Teddy is safely tucked under her arm. He stokes up the fire before shaking out his own sleeping bag and turning in for the night.

In the darkest part of the night, you all hear growling and snuffling right in camp. Vague shadows are passing through, knocking pots and pans over, and eating the leftover food. Sand and dirt are scattered over the sleeping survivors as a particularly nasty dog fight erupts. You can hear the sounds of a struggle and a deep growl followed by the fading sounds of a dog howling in pain. It is over in moments, and all the dogs seem to have cleared out. Any food that was left out is gone.

The first survivor up in the morning looks around camp and sees the devastation left by the dogs. The first obvious thing is the sugar canister is on its side with the sugar trailing out of it...to one side, you see a flour bag resting in the middle of a pile of flour, and the flour is scattered in a wide swath around it. When you go over to pick up the sugar, you are immediately aware of the tiny black grease ants that are all over it. There is still about two inches of the sugar in the bottom of the canister, but it is all ant infested. It is up to you whether you keep it or discard it. The flour appears to be a total loss, it is mixed with dirt and sand. As if this devastation isn't bad enough, as you approach the water container, you can see a dark puddle spreading from it, as it rests on its side, leaking all the water out. Your pots and pans are scattered from one end of camp to the other, mixed in with a jumble of clothing. The dogs left no object unturned in their midnight raid. At least the firepit is undisturbed.

Jungle living has finally caught up to her and she has spent most of yesterday and last night running to the bushes to get sick. She is tired and weak. It was especially frightening with the wild dogs raiding the camp. She has never been so frightened in all her life! She crawls out of the shelter to find an absolute disaster! "Oh NOOOOOOOO!" She is so weak and dehydrated. She goes over to the water jug and sets it upright again. She takes a few cupfuls of water and drinks it slowly, hoping it will stay down. She is chilled even though it is very warm. Unfortunately that is about all the water that is left in the jug. The mess is overwhelming and she doesn't know where to start. And now every little crackle and rustle she hears in the bushes makes her think the wild beasts are returning. She musters her strength and bravery and sets off to the stream to fill the jug with more water. "This is going to be a long, hard day..."

Lola awakens after a restless sleep. She wonders if those wild dogs were the noise she heard in the woods last night before dinner. She's relieved that she didn't run into them by herself. She goes to camp and sees the mess they made and shakes her head sadly. She spies Bri toting water. "Hi Bri. Boy, this sure is a mess. I guess I'll try to clean up the pots and pans and dishes while you're purifying the water. I think the sugar and flour are a total loss."

Struggles back to camp with the water jug. She is getting better at carrying it without spilling it. "Good morning Lola! Isn't this mess terrible? I think you're right about the flour and sugar. We should probably get it shoveled away from camp so we aren't overrun by ants. I am going to get this water pumped through the purifier after I take a little rest. I have been getting sick since yesterday. My mommy calls it Montezuma's Revenge, but I don't see what I ever did to him." (laughing slightly) She sits by the fire and pokes at it and adds a few branches.

to Lola, "Oh, no! Not the salt! What I didn't realize we had was sugar. I've been eating my oatmeal plain all this time. (laughing) "I guess I won't miss it as much now that it's gone, then." She finished purifying the water. It took her a lot longer to do it because she is so weak from being sick. She takes a cup of water and sits to sip it slowly. She is starting to feel better. "You're doing such a great job of cleaning up the camp, Lola! You should make sure the boys make dinner tonight since you have been working so hard." (smiling)

He looks at the sleeping girls and decides not to wake them, but he puts the 3 tangerines he found inside the airtight container for them to have in the morning. Afer he eats he goes to wash his plate and since no one else is on the hammock he tucks his sleeping bag on top and climbs right in.

She takes the immunity necklace back from Lola and then explains. The goal is to throw each ball into the highest ring for 10 pts. If it makes it into the 2nd ring, that's 8 pts, 3rd is 7 pts, etc etc. Each play gets 20 balls to throw and then two last balls for bonus points.

Lola finishes her dinner, then goes down to the water to wash up. She wonders why Bri has been so silent since she won immunity. Lola shrugs and heads for bed. "Good night, guys. Pleasant dreams. I sure hope those dogs don't come back tonight." She settles in her leafy bed quickly falls asleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

in the dark of the night, with only the full moon for light, you hear the dogs, growling, fighting, and the bushes rustle VERY near the camp, but thankfully the noises then move away.

Briene

She slept the best she has ever slept since coming to Kosrae even though the fighting wild dogs woke her up. She thinks it might be a good idea to start sleeping with the shovel just in case they come back to camp. Today is Sunday - no fire, no working. An appropriate day for quiet contemplation. She crawls out of the shelter and watches the sunrise. Getting up early is worth it just to see this beautiful place awake to a new day! She takes a vitamin and washes it down with water. She heads off into the jungle to look for some fruit or something that is edible.

The now familiar chanting choirs and rhythmic Island gospel music echo through the camp, through the island and all the way up to Heaven. The beautiful prayers remind all that no matter what happens this week, there are more precious things and more important things than one little game on one little island in the South Pacific. Lola awakens to the sound of the choir which always give her peace. She looks around camp and sees that Bri is gone and the others are still asleep. She goes down to the water, washes up, then heads for the woods to hopefully find some fruit for breakfast. She thinks she sees Bri up ahead. Maybe if they work together they can climb the banana tree and reach some fruit they've been unable to pick.

sitting on a rock overlooking the ocean...wonders why it seems like God made some places so much more beautiful than others! Where she lives in Virginia is pretty and so is where they used to live in California and so is the towns that Grandma and Grandma and Grandpa live in...but, Kosrae is just beautiful...the water and the coral reefs and the whole island!! She wishes that her Mommy and Daddy could see all that there is to see here...in more than just the pictures...

Pierre comes back to camp and mixes up some cold oatmeal. It's not exactly gourmet food buthe is hungry! No one seems to be around camp so he lays down in the hammock for a nap.

Trey wakes up really late. But the chiors are still singing. He goes down to the beach to say his prayers. He says a pray for his family at home, his family in the hotel in Kosrae, and his Survivor family here. They will lose one more tonight, who will it be? It really is ok if it is me.

Trey walks back to the camp, he sees Pierre sprawled in the hammock sawwing logs. Wow, that looks like a good idea. But right now he wants to go take a bath, then he needs to pack his bags for the tribal counsil tonight.

Trey comes back from his bubble bath all happy and clean. He hangs out his freshly washed clothes and moves the fruit from his backback to the barrels. He rolls up his sleeping bag and ties it thru the laces. It is getting tougher and tougher to vote each week.

After packing, he walks over to the playground to swing on the Tarzan swing. AAAHHHAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAA!

Lola comes back to camp with four bananas. "Hey guys, look what Bri and I got. I had her push me up to the lowest branch and I climbed up the tree and threw them down to her. A couple of times I thought I was going to fall. It was SO high." She giggles. "Mom always says I'm part monkey. What are we going to have for dinner? Or is it too early to think about it?"

Trey comes back to camp. He likes is Tarzan yell on Tribal council night. It releases a lot of frustration. He decides he doesn't really care if his bag sticks, and leaves his clothes in there.

He walks over by Lolli and sits down and holds her hand. "Its Ok Lolli, whatever happens, just think of all the cool stuff we have gotten to do while we are here. And I bet the others have been ordering ice cream and cake from room service every night." He gives Lolli a peck on her forehead.

A slow rain starts falling en route to the tribal council. It dampens moods even further as your realize just how close to the end the game really is. You are eager and anxious all at the same time, but also a tiny bit relieved and you start to think of going home to your family.

The darkness closes in as you walk into the Council clearing. You see the 3 members of the jury, Meghan, Mandy and Aggie, and while a part of you wants to run over and get a hug, you know they can only observe in silence.

"Only the final four will get to wear these and only the final four will return to camp with the chance of winning it all. One of you here will not return to camp, but will instead join to jury and ultimately, will decide the fate of the final two players. Good luck, and it's time to vote."

The jury watches as each player goes to the voting table and writes a name. the drum is brought to Gia and she starts to count the votes.

Even Gia looks a little sad as she speaks. "Lola, the tribe has spoken please bring me your torch."

Lola walks over and her torch is doused and added to the stack. She looks to Mandy in the jury and knows at least she will be with a good friend tonight. She leaves tribal council.

He is really going to miss Lola, she was always nice and was a good cook and provider. He silently walks back to camp, but for a second he thinks he hears laughter coming from the direction of tribal coucil. It sounded like Mandy & Lola & Aggie & Meggie. They will have a lot to talk about tonight I'm sure.

Lets head back to camp. I want to booby trap around the food in case the dogs come back again. If you see any rocks we can put them in my backpack. I want to protect the food from now on."

Trey walks back into camp. and starts putting rock in a flat pile about a foot tall. Then he pulls the wooden crate on top of it.

He makes sure everything is in a barrel and all the barrels go in the wooden box. He closes the lid to the box and looks around for more heavy rocks to set on top of the crate.
