She gathers some rocks from the edge of the jungle and places those all around the fire area. She then gathers some wood and sits down to try to start a fire. It is a little difficult since it is lightly raining...

From Colleen: some men bring the new gear into camp. There is a large crate like the original ones for each tribe. Inside it are: 1 barrel labeled oatmeal, 1 barrel labelled rice and 1 barrel labelled M&M's. Each barrel looks to hold about 25 cups. There is exactly 1 lb sugar, and 1/2 lb salt. You do not get any new pots or pans, or dishes. You do get fresh mosquito netting (since the old stuff started getting a few tears) and you get a large bottle of sunscreen, a new bar of soap, a fresh bottle of vitamins, and something new! a large container of powdered milk...not much, but enough to make about 4 gallons. a total of 5 waterproof matches are included.

I think I am going to use the bark off of the branches and braid them together to make rope type stuff...starts gathering the big leaves to use on top of the shelter...I wonder if the others would mind if I put one tarp under the leaves and the leaves on top and then, we could make a cover for over our table that the others were talking about making earlier...

I think that should be enough leaves for the top...I am going to start tearing the bark off of the branches in strips, so that I can braid them together into rope...starts working on the rope...when she gets at least a dozen strips torn off, she starts to braid 3 of the strips together...it is really a good thing that my big sister taught me how to braid a couple of months before I came here!

from Colleen: there is a note with a map to the old nicarong beach from here. (Basically you are now more west of sipyen falls than you were previously.)

the note says you have until noon tomorrow to get what you want from that camp with each player making only a single trip there. you can go alone or in small groups or all together, but each person may only go once... anything left there after noon tomorrow will be removed..

the mosquito netting is sufficient to cover one side or one wall of a shelter, the piece is roughly 2 yards wide and 5' tall.

from Colleen: The race was delightfully exciting to watch today as each player thought and thought and thought some more trying to solve these clues...

at Breadfruit Landing Lola was in the lead with Mandy, Aggie and Brienne shortly after her, and at Booniedog Valley she kept her lead, with Trey and Briene not too far behind. On FruitbatHill her advantage was firmly established as she was leaps and bounds past everyone else. Lola practically breezed through Sinlaka Beach and then straight into camp to claim the immunity necklace for her own.

The scores are as follows: Lola, 228 points out of 250 possible, Meggie, 190 pts, Aggie 184 pts, Bri 183 pts, Trey 179 pts, Mandy 150 pts, Pierre with 166 pts, and Lollie with 140 pts. Tribal council tomorrow....

Mandy pulls out 4 fish from the trap. The girls go down the beach to clean the fish and to bury the unused parts. They return to camp with the fish meat in the frying pan. "I'll go ahead and start frying the fish," says Mandy. "I'm sure the smell will wake up these sleepy heads!" she chuckles.

Mandy gets right to work making the fish. They still have some oranges and they can actually make some powdered milk today! "Lola, I'll go get some water to purify right after breakfast."

As they get to the old campsite Trey stops. He looks around. It is not at all like it looked on Wed when they left for the reward challenge. He is sad because he has so many memories of the things that happened here. He wishes they had time to tear down the camp and put it like they found it. But they weren't given the luxury of telling their camp goodbye. He walks over to the shelters and removes the rest of the mesquito netting, it doesn't take up much room and worn netting is better than no netting. He puts the ntting in his sleeping bag. There are the pots and barrels. The fish net and hooks are still hanging on the tree where they stored them. He looks around for more. "Meggie, what did we miss?"

Trey looks around the camp. He would like to pick it up a little but he didn't think to bring the knife to break down the shelters. And not enought time to start a fire to burn the remains. From what Trey can tell they have everything from A TO Z they will need at the new campsite. I'm sure I've forgotten something, But I think there are a few people left to come over here.

"Meggie, Are you ready to head back? Meggie! Meggie!! Where are you!". Come to think of it, she hasn't said a work since leavig camp. Duh, I guess I came by myself. She cane make her trip later, if I left anything we need. He looks at the camp, wipes a tear from his eye, and says "Good-bye, I hope to visit you again some day, Maybe I can bring my family. just a side not...folks even with your nice traps, you are not going to be catching more than 4 to 5 fish a day TOPS (unless we tell you otherwise)... thanks!

for what it is worth, by management's math the new rice and oatmeal allows for 1/4c oatmeal and half that of rice per serving per player per day for the remainder of the game (taking into account the loss of one player each tribal council)...I know it's not much, but this is about you against mother nature now and if you aren't as hungry the rewards aren't as special...

After cleaning up, Mandy puts on a swim suit and decides to wade in the shallow part of the ocean. She's not a good enough swimmer to venture too far, but she wants to feel the cool water.

She walks to the stream and fills the jugs and totes them back to camp. "Hey, can anyone show me how this machine works?" she asks as she tries to figure out the purifier...

From Colleen: the weather today is overcast, grey and cloudy, with light showers going on pretty steadily so far. It is 74 degrees and very humid, but you find a spot just off the beach with several shorter palm trees that makes almost a shower, with rainwater streaming off the leaves in a nice steady flow, even with this light rain.

After yesterday's frantic race for the Immunity challenge, everyone was simply too tired to really explore their new home, but in the morning light they are almost overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. The other camps were pretty too, but this beach was chosen for obvious reasons of sheer beauty. The flowers are much more prolific, lining the edges of the clearing and every breeze sends another fragrant scent to the camp, plumeria, orchids, hibiscus, the wild ginger flowers are breathtaking. The beach opens onto the ocean, with a reef and rocky outcropping off to one side. A partial lagoon is formed by the shape of the outer reef and they have a spectacular view from the southwestern edge of the island. They can see lots of fish here, and even another sea turtle!

Mandy shows Aggie how she wades down in the water and kind of scoops the fish up with her hands out of the trap. "You see," she says, "they have trouble finding their way out of the trap, so it gives me a chance to catch them!." She catches both fish and puts them into the cooking pot. She then drags the pot down the beach and cleans the fish, putting the meat into the pot and placing the scraps into a hole in the ground. She then buries the scraps and the girls bring the meat back to camp in the pot.

Lola won the immunity so no one can vote for her this week. I have a question for all of you, but before I ask it, I want to remind you all that the rules have now changed.

It is now a game about individuals, each person ultimately deciding their own path. one on one now each of you must compete, becoming part of the jury if you are voted off. when only two players remain, the jury will choose between them, voting to see who wins the prizes, the bonus and the title of Lil Survivor. I just have one more thing for each of you to do before I ask my question."

Gia then brings out a large suitcase and hands it to the person closest to her. she says "pass that around and feel its weight." The case is heavy and the kids can barely lift it. Each child passes it down the row until finally it comes back to Gia. She sets it on a rock and opens the lid and the kids gasp as they see it is full of money, hundred dollar bills in neat little stacks.

Lola doesn't hesitate as she sums up her feelings in one word. "Laziness," she says.

Does this person care about the other members? Is this person here to help the others, whether it be to cook/clean, or just to listen when they need to talk? I know that we are here to be the one that outplays, outtypes and outlasts...but, we have to get thru it together and someone who doesn't care about others is someone that I don't think is a true survivor!!!"

Aggie answers Gia's question "I guess it would be laziness or no caring about the rest of our teammates."

Trey's reply is short and to the point. "Simple, if they are a troublemaker!" he says.

Gia nods as each player then walks to the ballot box and must write down the name of the first player to be banished from Kansi. The last player to vote brings the colorful drum to Gia.

The first she pulls out reads "Bri" The second vote reads "Meggie" The third vote reads "Bri" Gia puts the votes in stacks.

The fourth vote reads "Bri" Brienne gulps and looks resigned to her fate. The fifth vote reads "Mandy" Lola reaches over to hold Mandy's hand.

Gia says "Meghan, the tribe has spoken, please bring me your torch." Meghan slowly walks over to gia and her torch flame is doused. She picks up her backpack and walks from the tribal council. The kids look numb, but they slowly begin the walk back to Kansi Camp.

A tear rolls down her face as she remembers some of the heartaches her own tribe has faced when votes were tallied at tribal council. Voting for Roxie had been so difficult even though she was homesick and had wanted to go home. Then Lyda Ruth had gotten sick...Oh she didn't want to think about it. She quietly sobs herself back to sleep and suddenly wishes that she, too, had her Teddy to hug...

Mandy sets the jugs down by the stream and walks on downstream to bathe. She washes her hair and feels a little better. After dressing, she returns to the jugs and fills them up for the walk back to camp.

Mandy sees that the first jug is purified, so she puts the purifier onto the second jug...Meanwhile, she grabs an orange and starts peeling it for her breakfast.

from colleen: it is a hot hot HOT 86 degrees with a hea index of 95 today! no real breeze to speak of on your side of the island so you feel the heat even more! You don't even smell a rain comin up today which would at least cool things off. remember suhats and sunscreen today if you can!

on a small side note, I noticed a couple of posts where the player said actions done by other people. I am using this one only as an example and this is in no way coming down hard on anyone... "Lola and Bri unload their backpacks. " one person posted it but it committed a different player to an action. you can only choose your own actions and words..you can post attempts to do something, like "Kelly goes to give Tommy a hug" but that has to leave it open for Tommy to post his reaction on his own.. "Tommy moves abck a step saying "that's okay, I'm fine." etc etc just something to keep in mind :)

Stretching and yawning she crawls out of bed. She sees the most beautiful beach she has ever seen in her whole life! She knows that she should have been leaving last night after only a few days here, but is grateful for the extra time to enjoy this beautiful place and these sweet people. She takes a deep breath to breathe it all in. It is heartbreaking to see the others fighting and crying this way. Hopefully we all can pull together and make the best of things. We all can still be friends long after we leave Kosrae. This is just the beginning of our friendship.

Bri makes herself busy straightening up the sleeping area, fluffing the leaves. She makes a quick trip to the potty area. Then grabs a piece fo fruit and a vitamin for breakfast. She goes down by the water and walks along the beach looking for shells and reflecting on the night before...

feeling nicer than normal today so I'll tell you now and not after someone drinks from it, but Mandy is misunderstanding the purifier... it is a pump based fileter and the water must be pumped thru it, meaning from one jug into another, and it takes a lot of pumping action to get the water thru the hoses. it doesn't do it automatically. just hooking it up doesn't do diddly...sorry :)

As Trey heads back toward camp with more firewood, he sees a nice shaded clear area free from trees, and close to camp. Its not a big area, but it is enough, good strong trees with vines growing up them and out onto the limbs of the trees. Yep, this is a good place to put Meggies park. I think she would have liked it here. I hope Mandy will help me, she seems very willing.

He heads back to camp and puts the firewood on the pile. He runs over, takes a vitamin, grabs a piece of fruit, and the knife and runs back to the cleared area. He starts by chopping the vine away from the bottom of the tree.

Trey finally gets the vine cut thru and unwinds the vine from around the tree till it gets to the limb. He ties a couple of knots in the vine to shorten it. Then climbs the rope, says "this ones for you Meggie", and lets out a huge Tarzan yell "A-A-aa-a-a-a-a--a--a--a-a--a!" and swings out on the vine.

She comes back up to the camp from the beach, she thought she heard screaming, but no one is around. She shrugs it off, but remains alert just in case. She pokes at the fire to get it going a little more. Then she sets a pot of rice to boil. Even with one less mouth to feed there is still very little rice to go around. She stares at the fire adn waits for the rice to cook for lunch.

Trey is at the playground (in progress). He has found a couple of branches and has pushed 2 of them into the ground so they are standing up straight. Then he puts a third one upacross the top of those 2 wrapping them together with vine. Ta-dah A soccer goal.

" I think I will go back to camp an dsee if there is anything i can help with. Meggie wouldn't want us to just pout. She would want us to be a strong team.

I wonder what the kids who stay for the jury get to stay?? Wonder if they have nice beds and showers and telephones to get to call their mommy's and daddy's!! That would be nice! stops pumping for a minute and rests her arms...boy...this is a hard job! oh well! has to be done! and starts pumping again! shouldn't be too much longer!

Lolacomes in from the rocky shallow water to one side of the beach. She is carrying 4 fist sized crabs, holding the bottom of her shirt up a little like a pocket with the crabs inside.

"Hey guys! I found some crabs on the rocks. I thought we could boil them for a light lunch."

She puts them in an empty wooden barrel to keep until she can get some water boiling.

It has been so quiet around camp today! She is starting to get a little lonely and scared. She pulls Charlie out of her pocket and hugs him tightly. "I miss you Steven Michael. I hope you are OK." she says softly. She wipes a little tear from her eye. "I guess maybe I'll check the fish traps."

She wanders down the beach to the traps. She checks them only to find them empty. (heavy sigh!) She feels her tummy grumbling and growling and wonders how the other kids can stand being so hungry. She walks back up to camp and starts looking for the recipe to make cookies. But she can't find it. (heavy sigh!) She sits down by the fire again and stares at the flames as they dance and crackle, clutching Charlie her lucky troll.

"Mandy, yes thats the new playground. Not much yet, but we can add to it. Yes that was a soccer goal, well with out a net. We have netting but I didn't want to waste it on soccer. I hope you will play soccer with me tomorrow. When I go home it will be the beginning of soccer season and I haven't been practicing much of anything but juggling." He walk to the rocks where Pierre has his trap is tied up.

"OOPs, forgot the traps". He pull the lobster traps out of the water, and takes the 2 trapping sticks out of Mandys trap, so the fish can swim in & out. That should take care of it.
