The page has been reset and week 2 has been archived. You begin to notice as you pick fruit that you need to start going further into the forest to find food. You hadn't quite realized it but you may have to be more selective and frugal with how you harvest the island's bounty or you might find yourself with less fruit later on.

Trey, wakes up and stretches hard. Hum, looks like he is the first one up. He gets up, puts on his swim trunks and shirt, and goes into the jungle for some firewood.

Wakes up and see's Trey go of to the jungle. He just sits there for a few minutes and tehn gets up and goes into the jungle to look for more wood.

Meggie wakes up and sees Pierre walking into the woods. She gets up and puts the fire on hoping that Pierre is getting more wood. She starts preparing oatmeal for the group. She sees a few soft pieces of fruit left which she starts cutting up to put in the oatmeal.,

Comes out of the jungle with some Kindling. Well I can try and get the kindling burning.

Gets his rocks and attempts to start the fire.

Staggers back into the campsite with some large tree branches. "Oh good Pierre, you found kindling, I couldn't find any but I did get these large branches, that should do till tomorrow. Where is the fishing net, I think I am just going to float and then stick the net down when a fish swims by. See ya later."

It's 82 degrees and overcast with fluffy grey clouds in the sky, but no sign of rain, can you believe your luck?! It's a perfect day for clamdiving since the limes are ripe in abundance and if you look you could probably find the giant clams the island is known for, clamshells spiky and the size of a dinner plate! have a nice day :)

oh yes, lovely breeze from the northeast cooling you off! (Pierre, are you regretting that umbrella today? you could have had a fluffy pillow! hahahhaa

I am going to try and set up the camp scenes today so I need one person to post here of email me how the camp is set up as specifically as possible, whether you have 1 shelter or two, whether the tarp is the roof or leaves, whether you went for a teepee style, square or triangular lean-to style etc... if you have set up any logs as chairs or a table or if your campbox(lid) is used for anything besides storage... I am behind on photos but I will get them up as soon as I can.

Miss Colleen Being a cajun child we are known for being practicle. Not always smart in the way of books or the world in general. But very wise in the way of the swamp and our surroundings. But a Pillow is a luxury item a normal cajun child may or may not have that lives in the swamp. An umbrella is a wonderful thing, it blocks the sun off of them and they all have umbrellas, for rain and the sun. Most Cajun children roll up a shirt or pair of pants, and that suffices as a pillow.

Moon remembers to take her vitamins and goes for a nature walk coming back with 2 papayas and a handful of colorful ginger blooms plus some ginger root. She puts some fresh water into one of the big shels and arranges the flowers into a lovely fragrant display and sets it up near the tents to liven up the camp. She puts the ginger by the cooking area in case anyone wanted to use it tonight.

"I'm going seashell hunting today! anyone want to come with? I am hoping to find enough to make shell necklaces for everyone..."

I guess we can scrub them with a little sand and rub them on some rocks but not too hard cause we might put some holes in the clothes. I'm ready, I grabbed Pierres clothes too, I'll do his. This is a good idea, my clothes are getting pretty rank."

Meggie comes back to tell the others what fun she and Pierre are having and she overhears them talking about washing their clothes. "Oh what a great idea. It is a perfect day for that too." She grabs her dirty clothes and heads off to the water with the others. "I guess I will have to take a break from clamming to wash these things."

We have enough clams for supper. I love a clam bake. so if we the clams in the sand nesr the fire they will cook and not burn. Thanks for doing my laundry Those clothes were able to walk on thier own. LOL Thank you!

Also if we have much left, then we can cook a little more oatmeal each day. At least we aren't running out. This is fantastic!"

Hey fellow tribal members, I want to apologize, I fed you something very simular to something we eat back home, we call it nutra. It is a Beaver like animal, that has a long straight tail, that lives in the swamp. So when I caught a couple of little nutra I didn't think anything about it. I just cleaned them and cooked them we needed to eat. And some people wouldn't eat anything. So I didn't say it was little nutra. I just wanted to make sure that everyone stayed healthy, and had some meat to eat. I am sorry! But back home we eat nutra all of the time I really didn't know you all don't like that kind of food. I will tell you all in the future what I catch before you eat it. I am sorry if it offened any one. I ate it first so it was good to eat. I am sorry.

From Colleen: I could not have programmed a closer finish than this.... It was a VERY close challenge today with EVERYONE particpating (for which I am very glad). I was amazed at how knowledgable many of you were about Barbie, with no less than 4 perfect scores. right down to the last player even I had no clue who would win. This challenge was decided by a single score point, or less than 1 tenth of a percentage.

"Ok, about the Big Survivor show. Colby has won the last 4 immunity challanges and the last 3 reward challanges. He is definately the strongest physically and mentally because for teh rewards he has won good meals and slept in good beds. My guess is both Tina and Colby want Keith to be in the last 2 survivors, because noone really likes Keith much, so they will vote for the other person left(Tina or Colby). I think it all depends on who wins the immunity challange. If Keith wins it, I don't know which one he would vote off. Again I would love to see Tina win, but think it will be Colby because he is healthier. What do you think???"

This is actually alot like my home. It looks like it except for the ocean. and it smells like home once you get into the jungle. The Smell of the salt water reminds me of my cousins house in a salt water marshe over on the west side of the state. but i guess I miss watching my dogs playing up on their dog run.

you see because we have water on all sides of my house my dogs have a dog run made of wood about 10 feet high. and they get up there and run and run. They like palying on it. It is like watching angle dogs up above your head. You have to be careful though because they potty in the air too.

Well you see everything around my house is built into the air because of floods, even the school is built on stilts. Our house is 14 feet in the air. So my dogs when they are up on their doggy run they just stop and put thier tail over the edge of the board and do their duty.

Yea but Lollie maybe some of them want to be with there mommy's and daddy's. I want to stay here because No one in my family except my great grandpa ever left the swamps. The only time we go anywhere is when we go to Dulac to my cousins and help with the shrimp boat. By the way the other night I realized that you may have thought that the shrimp boat was my daddy's but it really belongs to my uncle. My daddy works with him during shrimp season. Once in a while i get to go with them if they are just testing the waters. It is a lot of work but do we ever get some big shrimp.

I see what you mean...about going home...I miss my mommy and daddy and our dog and cat and we have kittens and my bunnies...I hope my sisters and brothers are taking care of my bunnies!! I wish I could talk to Mommy...and I wish I could cuddle with Daddy... :) but, that is always hard to do...there are so many of us, we fight all the time to get to sit with him! We even have our own scheduled times!

It is bigger than me. But it really is neat. I watched him for a long time today he is fast! But he just mostly sunned himself like a big aligator. but He wasn't that big. And I didn't notice any teath. So I think we would be OK but you have to be quiet when we see him because he is so fast.

It is too big and quick to kill and I don't know if they would be good to eat or not. I know you can eat aligator, and that is yummy. But only the ones less than six feet. But i know one of my dogs ate a lizard one time and it made him real sick. So we won't kill tham or eat them.

Lollie I don't know does this St. Nick have Alligator pulling his skiff. A skiff is a little boat. He has presents for good kids and coal for bad kids. I always get presents but my moomy and daddy always warn me about getting coal. My cousin should get coal. I don't like him. But Papa Noel he wears a red outfit and has long hair and a veard all in white. He sneaks in in the middle of the night after you go to sleep. and leaves good things for you. Yea you know they may be cousins or something. We light bonfires so that he can see the route to come to our houses. We build thes big bon fires slong the levees of the rivers. They are real big because he and his Aligators They fly real high in the sky. That way he can see. because so many people live in the swamp this way he knows where we all are at.

Sweat is dripping from her forehead. She tries to catch her breath to talk to them.

whispering...well...I suppose, if you lived in the right kind of place...you could have an outdoor cage type thing...I don't suppose that it would have to have any bigger a living environment than a bird aviary, just better reinforced...Mommy has a friend with an aviary in their front room...it is huge! it takes up almost 1/4 of their living room and it is a big room!

whispering...yup...there are all sorts of birds in their aviary...goldfinches, canaries...and a couple others...it is really neat! and you can climb inside of it when you have to clean it and feed and water them! I even got to go inside of it with Sandi (mommy's friend!)

Mom knew I might not be home for a party, so she said she was going to do something different and throw Daddy a surprise party. I'm always the one that gets a party, not him. Anyway after Mom explained to me that Dad never gets a party, I realized they are real people too and like to do fun things too.
