You realize that at this time next week, you will have either made it to the final 8, made it halfway through the game, or you will be the last player to get sent home until the end of the show. Anyone who makes it to next week is guaranteed a place on the final jury, the one that chooses between the last 2 players as to who deserves the title of Lil Survivor. You and your tribemates have made it this far, and for that you should be commended. Congratulations folks! The game is just about halfway finished and you are still here! There are light showers in the air, and it is HOT! 87 degrees with a heat index of 95. It's a cloudy day and only the strong wind from the east/northeast cools you off. With no fire perhaps you can put out any extra containersto catch the rainwater for a nice hairwash, or to drink.

Goes to the beach where the traps are. checks them and he has 9 Lobsters. He rebaits teh traps and leaves 3 of the lobsters in the traps. He brings the rest to camp.

Meggie gets up and smells lobsters boiling. she walks over to see Pierre working over the fire. "Mornin Pierre. You are up earlier than usual. How come you are making lobsters for breakfast? I usually eat them for dinner", she says laughing. "You must have had lots of hungry dreams".

keep the water handy today! it is 86 degrees with a heat index of 96. The humid air make everything muggy, your hair sticks to the back of your neck and your clothes are just plastered on your body with sweat. Theres a breeze from the east, but no sign of rain today to cool you off.

Lollie looks around, no one is at camp. She goes to get some water to pump it through so they won't get dehydrated today. It makes her tired, but she refills all the jugs of water. She sees the vitamins and remembers to take hers today, she forgot over the weekend.

Lollie finishes pumping the water through. There! now we all have fresh water to spare. She wishes they had won some of that soap and shampoo, but decides a nice dip in the ocean will have to do. She changes into her swimsuit and goes swimming for a while.

It's windy and rainy today, with a grey overcast sky and a steady light rain that gets blown around all directions byt a strong wind from the east. The fire is barely kept going. It's 86 degrees with a high hea index of 96 so it feels like you are just melting. Not a very fun day and swimming isn't even a good idea to cool off because the water is choppy. At least there is the umbrella to use for the potty runs!

I agree with both Trey and Pierre that we should be thinking about a strategy for when we merge with Ocono. Pierre, do you know who the Ocono leader is? Do we have a leader? Maybe they don't have one either. It is definitely going to be difficult when the challenges start being each person working for themselves. I like it a lot better when we work as a group for a common group goal."

As Aggie is working on the lobsters, she notices a scrape on her lower leg that she hadn't felt when it happened. The water was very rough today so she must have scraped it on some rocks and not realized it. It's not too deep, but it does sting some as it welts up.

I am ready with the puzzles.. the basic gist of it (other than using the metaphors for "racing") players 1, 3, and 6 can take their challenge at anytime, but no points are scored until the other logic/word parts are done, and those have to be done in order, 2 (might take the longest) then 4 then 6... They start with a possible 30 points, and however many points player 2 gets, that is the maximum possible points for part 4, etc.

there's a calm wind and nice light showers off and on. The day is cloudy, and a very comfortable 82 degrees. compared to the heat of some recent days this feels positively cheerful. The rain is sporadic, and not enough to interfere with any activities.

Chcks on the traps and drags them back to the camp one at at time. He needs to work on them they are starting to get weak. He has 4 lobsters and 3 crabs. All are good sized he transfers them out of one trap to the other two. They are fine and will be for a while. He starts to redo the traps to reinforce how they go together. He takes some green vines that are limber and strips them, down till they are thin enough to work with and thick enough to do the job and restrings each trap.

You reach Challenge Beach and see it full of flowers. there are 2 big baskets, and 2 3 wheeled bikes with a riding bar on the back. You also see thick knotted ropes hanging from each side of the Sipyen Falls! This looks like it will be an interesting race!

From Colleen: Gia takes back the immunity necklaces and idol then explains that this is a 6 part race, and lets each tribe decide on their line-up. She gives the empty basket to Aggie and explains that Pierre will race her through the path and she has to grab as many flowers as she can while he pedals. "Don't fall off or drop the basket or you will be disqualified and get no points!" gia says. Aggie gulps, but takes the basket and climbs on the back of the trike. The tricycle is on a path of wooden planks laid out in a stripe down the beach and beyond. That makes Pierre relax, peddling thru the sand would have been a nightmare!

All eyes are on the pair as Pierre takes off! Aggie has to hold on with one hand and frantically grab at the blooms with the other! Pierre pumps his legs, and pedals faster and faster! Petals fly everywhere as Aggie grabs and grabs! They speed off down the path and the tribe holds their breath until they come speeding back down the way the came (having looped around a big tree at the other end of the beach).

As they come back, Pierre pulls right up to Meghan who is waiting by the ropes to take the basket from Aggie. Meghan loops it over her should and starts to climb. One fat flower looks like it might tumble out but Meggie's elbow nudges it back in the basket. Hiogher! higher! she is up about halfway now and she loses her grip, sliding back down the rope about a foot! She yelps but keeps her cool and climbs up to the top, scrambling on the wet rocks and jumping across the narrow falls. She lowers herself down on the other side and just repels her way down, not dropping a single bloom! (more as the other puzzles get done, #4 is available now! but not to Aggie, Meggie or Pierre).

Using traps helps make sure we have enough food. and it doesn't take a lot of effort just check them and bait them and repair them as needed. It is just a more sure way to make sure we are going to eat.

As they come back, Nicarong has a strong lead over Ocono. Mandy fights and fights but can't catch up. Pierre pulls right up to Meghan who is waiting by the ropes to take the basket from Aggie. As the basket changes hands, Meghan loops it over her shoulder and starts to climb. Gia says, "Nicarong wins the first race, no flowers lost yet! 3 points for Nicarong!"

Lola and Mandy pull up and Lola jumps off the back of the trike and starts to climb the rope. Gia notes that she hasn't lost any flowers either, both teams still at 30 flowers. One fat flower looks like it might tumble out of the Ocono basket, but Meggie's elbow nudges it back in the basket. Higher! higher!

From Colleen: Lola has great strong arms and starts to close the distance between her and Meggie. Meghan is up about halfway now and she loses her grip, sliding back down the rope about a foot! She yelps but keeps her cool and climbs up to the top, scrambling on the wet rocks and jumping across the narrow falls. She lowers herself down on the other side and starts to repel her way down, not dropping a single bloom! Lola is now almost right at her side as they start to climb down. Lola gets halfway down, closes her eyes and JUMPS! she lands on her feet, not a bloom lost, and hands her basket to Gia who is sitting on a rock by the falls. As Meghan touches ground several moments later, Gia speaks in the anxious silence, saying, "2nd race goes to Ocono! 3 points tied so far, no flowers lost."

Gia takes the basket from a saddened Meghan and she turns to Mandy and Inita, waiting blindfolded to touch and guess at each flower she hands them. One after the other the girls handle and try to determine what kind of bloom they have. Mandy calls out "crocus! daffodil! magnolia, sunflower!" Inita holds one bloom to her nose, calling out "jasmine!" then "hyacinth!" The girls continue, "orchid!" "dahlia" "heather!" "dandelion" "thistle!" until each one has emptied their baskets and Gia smiles as neither team loses any flowers.

The last race begins as Trey and Lyda Ruth take the baskets and must run up the wooden plank path to grab a ribbon off the tree and tie it on the handle of their basket then rush back! They are side by side the entire way! Their feet are flying as each one races to make it back first and put their basket on the hillock on Challenge Beach. As they come back into sight Lyda Ruth begins creeping ahead, 3 inches, then 6, then a full foot ahead of Trey, he groans and tries but cannot catch up as little Lyda dashes and lands her basket on the hill first. he puts his next to Ocono's and hugs his knees trying to catch his breath. Gia checks and no flowers have fallen out, and she says "Last race to Ocono, 6 points for them, Nicarong, 3 points, just the last part and then we will know!"

From Colleen: Inita and Mandy face off, each one giddy with the suspense as Gia pulls one flower at a time out of each basket. the girls must match them up with their names, some of the latin names are just impossible! but the girls think until their brains hurt!

Lola and Lyda gasp as Mandy gets one wrong, then another! almost crying out as Gia takes the flower and throws it on the ground. Inita gets every single one correctly, smiling and hoping for her team to win. Finally on the last flower, each girl guesses correctly, leaving Ocono with a total of 28 flowers and Nicarong with 30...

Final scores!!! Nicarong 33, Ocono 34. Ocono wins immunity!!!! Nicarong must meet tomorrow for tribal council.

walks back in to camp and looks around for the others...you can tell that she has been crying, her eyes are all red...she heads for the girls' shelter and shakes out her sleeping bag...I wish the others were here to cuddle with me...I am soooo scared about tomorrow! I don't want to have to vote anyone else off! I wanted for all of us to go into the final group together! this just sucks!

I have something I want to say. I promised I would never whisper again. So I am saying this out load so everyone can hear me. As of late there has been someone who has been making little digs at everything I do. They told me they prefer to do something different than the way I do. So I have taken the traps out of the water. I did the research at the bay the other day; I spent a lot of time on it. They came along and disregarded everything I did. Totally ignored it. Inita came along and used some of what I did and made it better. They have been getting bossy ever since I said that I thought we should get rid of Ocono’s leader. They made comments that were mean, to me. They tried to decide who was doing what yesterday on the challenge and appeared to get mad when their orders were not followed. Basically they said that Inita and Aggie should be the only ones to do the final event. I would like to point out that I have had 2 perfect scores on research challenges. I took it that I wasn’t smart enough in their books to do it. Well I won my race. They have had this underlying attack on me for a while. If I do something they have some little dig to it. Trey has been a great person to have on this tribe; I refuse to vote for him. Inita has been there in each of the challenges and has helped us win in many cases and has caused it to be close in the ones we lost she has been invaluable to us. Aggie is wonderful how she has helped in everything. Lolli is an asset because she is always there with positives about everybody, and has been very helpful on the challenges as well. Meggie your attitude and divisiveness as of late has made you the most logical choice to vote off and that is what I plan to do. Vote for your removal. I hope I have made myself clear, on my reasons why. I am sorry any of us have to go, but why have you gotten so mean as of late? Is it the alliance thing? We came clean about it and after a while you finally agreed to leave it alone because you were splitting the tribe apart. You still are trying to do that, in my opinion. If you have a problem with me please say it instead of attacking me in thee small ways. I have said my peace. I hope this gives you something to think about Meggie. I have never been mean to you and to be honest I am not being mean now just saying what I have noticed and letting you know why I am voting for you. If you all feel I am way out of line then by all means vote me off. I had to say it. These are things I have been noticing for a while and there are other examples that I didn’t bring up. I am saying this early in the day to give you a chance to deny it or come clean yourself. Which will it be Meggie?

The walk to tribal council this evening is dreary and disappointing, but the game must be played. At tribal council Gia asks each player to answer the same question: "There has been some friction and friendship along the way, but this is the stronger tribe at this point. One of you is going to leave Friday and I would like to hear from each of you what one thing or skill you would bring to the third and final tribe to help everyone here stay in the game until the end."

Pierre most emphatically says "I am a team Player! I will do what it takes for this team to succeed!"

Aggie smiles at Pierre's answer and the determination noticed as he spoke. Aggie says "I will do my best at getting food for the Nicarong tribe (we are and always will be the Nicarongs). I'll also do my best at winning immunitys so we can do away with the Oconos first."

Pierre, I read what you wrote and I am stunned. I NEVER ever felt that I was mean to you. I love the way you use traps...I think you are a wonderful provider. I thought I was just sharing that I loved to get lobsters too but I did it by diving. I told you that you always got more lobsters your way. Believe me, Pierre I NEVER EVER MEANT to boss anyone. I thought we were all supposed to give recommendations. I never expected my suggestions to be taken like rules. I just happened to get up earlier so I gave my thoughts first. I always made sure I complimented people on their jobs on the challenges because I truly felt everyone did a great job. I did feel like we were working for the good of the group. I still did feel like Inita did not like me and deliberately tried to work against me but I was willing to keep trying. All I can say Pierre, is that I am sorry you feel that way but I never intentionally meant to make you feel that way at all. Obviously you will vote how you feel. So will I. And thanks Aggie for sticking up for me. I care a lot about the group and really truly love being here and will miss it if I am sent home.

Aggie I think Inita did both of those because she felt like she had to in order to do #6 like she was told to earlier in the day. I am not sure why she did it, but I am glad she did, I am not knocking Lolli in any way here but if whe would have done #4 and said she wasn't going to do #6 and Lolli couldn't make it we would have lost by a lot more than we did.

I don't like to argue, I love being here in this beautiful place with great water and a really kool jungle to go exploring in. I love being around my new family here and getting goofy after we have had a really hard challenge. I am someone who will listen if you need someone to talk to. I would like to win my mom & dad a new house and car and all that kool stuff, but as my mom told me before I left home 'I am here to discover new things I can do and meet new people and have kool experiences', if I happen to go home with it all, great, but she will love me no matter what. I do not need to defend myself to the tribe members who so carelessly toss my efforts and contributions aside. My words would be wasted on you. I will however explain my actions and choices for the benefit of those who wonder and are still undecided about tonight's vote. The reason I did #4 of the challenge last night is because Colleen said no one else who had already done the other parts of the challenge could do it. I knew I would have to do that part. I am not very good at word games. But instead of working as a team and strategizing so that our strongest players did the hardest parts, individuals just stepped up and took parts willy nilly. I was so mad that we couldn't get our act "together" for a simple challenge that I couldn't even speak to anyone last night. I really felt like I was getting stuck doing the hardest part just because I wasn't here earlier to pick the easiest part. How was that good for the whole tribe? Considering how long these challenges were taking I could see that we were running out of time. That last part, #6, was going to be the most time consuming with all the research. I was worried about Lolli not showing up once it was an hour and a half to go. And no one else was saying that they were even thinking of doing it. I was not going to risk losing this challenge hoping that Lolli showed up in time or that one of you research challenged people stepped up to the plate. Doing all that research after a full day in the hot sun with very little food is tough. And not one person even said "good job" or "nice try" to me afterward. Even though I was feeling sad last night I didn't wallow in my own self pity like so many here... I ran after Trey and begged him to reconsider volunteering to go home. But he wouldn't even speak to me!! You all talk about being a family and loving each other and having compassion and friendship. But you haven't even mastered those basic principles in this small group. We are still 6 individuals working toward our own selfish goals. As to me being bossy and taking over - Have you ever tried to herd 6 cats in the same direction? It is impossible! That is how Nicarong is. We all go off in our own direction without considering where the group is going or needs to be going. I may have taken control, but someone had to so we could get the challenge finished. Meggie had already said she couldn't stay. If you can't see the task through to the end then don't step up to be the leader! If we would have relied on Meggie for the challenge and then she left we would have had to go back and try to pick up the pieces to finish it. Very soon things will change. Whether or not I am here to see it remains to be seen. But I can read the writing on the wall. It will be really interesting when Ocono comes into the mix. As the saying goes, "You ain't seen nothing yet!" Watch your backs and I hope your "friendships" are really as strong as you all say they are. Good luck! You'll need it!! Okay...I know we are all upset and I know that this is hard! I don't want to vote anybody off! But...if we are going to point fingers...maybe we should point them at ourselves and the fact that we go thru this everytime we have to vote another one of us off!! I KNOW!!! I haven't been around a lot! I KNOW I was late for the challenge last night and there is NO excuse that I can give you...other than Mommy had other things that were VERY important going on last night and even this afternoon!!! Sooooo....let's try and go about this in the most logical manner we can! I agree with Aggie, just as I always have! We vote our OWN hearts!! Someone has to go home...that is just a fact that we can't change! Inita! You are GREAT at the challenges! So is Pierre and Trey and Aggie and Meggie!! I haven't exactly been all that shabby at them myself! I have been gone a lot from camp lately...life and feelings get in the way of some stuff sometimes! That is just a fact of life also! I work hard at trying to understand everybody elses' feelings! and I know that I am scared to death that I am going to be the next one to go! I don't want to go home! I want to stay here! NOT because I even care about the end results and the house and car and everything else! Because I want to be with YOU GUYS!!!! I agree that Inita DID take charge the other night when we were doing the challenge and I agree that I was a little miffed at first! BUT!!! She is right! We were running off in all different directions! and she is also right! You guys weren't sure if I was going to show up last night! I HAVE missed a challenge before!!! I was here last night and I did try and help! and I was there the night before and I DID help!!! BUT! I am no better or no worse than anybody else in this tribe! I am a team player! I SUCK at sports that I do by myself!

I'm not exactly sure how that is going to make others feel, and, usually, you guys' feelings are VERY important to me! I come from a big family and I have to try and take into consideration how others are going to feel on a daily basis!!! But...like all of you...I had to say it! I WANT to stay together! I WANT to outtype, outplay, outlast!!! BUT! more than that! I want to know that when I do go home, I have a family that I can always rely on to be there when I am in need of a cuddling!!! (thank you to Pierre and Aggie and Inita after Pierre went and got her from the beach) for knowing that I really needed your love and care, by cuddling with me!!! you will NEVER know just how much that means to me!!!)Everybody in this tribe has been there for each one of us at different times! Remember THAT! Yeah...we fight! Yeah...we don't always agree! BUT! When all is said and done! Who is there to take care of us!! Each of the other members of this tribe!!! The other team "got rid of their 'baggage'" and if we can't get our acts together...we are going to be their baggage!!!

I have a suggestion...but, I'm not sure how it would work...anybody remember the Bible story about when Judas kisses Jesus, so that the people who were looking for him would know it was Him?? Well...something along those lines...not necessarily kissing the person...but...doing something special for them...can't let them know WHY we are doing it...what do you guys think??

"I'm sorry everyone has been in such a bad mood today. This happens every time we have to vote someone off. We all loose it. Personally, I think the reason we get so upset is because we are so close and we hate the thought of voting anyone off. So it just eats us up inside then we turn around and take it out on each other. Thats the way families work too, they argue and then realize how much they love each other. That is one of the main reasons I volunteered to be voted off. If we have a volunteer there should be no reason for everyone to argue. Before I left, my mom said I should never be ashamed to ask to be voted off or to be voted off without asking. I do love everyone here, but I am not going to go into detail about who is good at what, because that is obviously hurting a lot of feeling right now. I don't think anybody meant to be mean and say people were bad at certain things and good at others. Things change daily here, and what we were bad at when we came, hopefully we have gotten much better at. I still am volunteering to go home but only if you will quit arguing. :) I hate arguing, it tears my belly up inside. I have a lot of things to do when I get home, so it won't bother me, but I will miss you terribly.

I think Lolli is right in the fact that we need to get our stuff together before Nicarong merges with Ocono, whether I am here or not. They will eat our lunch if we don't go in there as a team. And as I mentioned earlier, we need to have a system for voting them off. I say reverse-alphabetical order would work really good, and if that person has immunity, go to the next person, and go back the next week to vote off the one you had to skip. It is hard to get away with whispers, we know that the hard way right?"

I guess I was so anxious for us to win as a tribe I came off as bossy and pushy. Please forgive me. The walk to tribal council this evening is dreary and disappointing, but the game must be played. You watch each face as you walk, wondering who will go, who vill vote for someone? maybe even you? As the jungle grows dark and your torches send lizards and rats scurrying into the underbrush you hate this last walk as Nicarong knowing one of you will not be on the return walk back to camp. You step into the clearing around the fire and Gia waits to address you.

Gia asks each player to answer the same question: "There has been some friction and friendship along the way, but this is the stronger tribe at this point. One of you is going to leave Friday and I would like to hear from each of you what one thing or skill you would bring to the third and final tribe to help everyone here stay in the game until the end."

Aggie smiles at Pierre's answer and the determination noticed as he spoke. Aggie says "I will do my best at getting food for the Nicarong tribe (we are and always will be the Nicarongs). I'll also do my best at winning immunitys so we can do away with the Oconos first."

Meghan says "I bring compassion and love with friendship to the tribe and want to work for a common goal."

Trey says "speaking as the laid back, California surfer dude that I am, I am not the strongest, smartest, or fastest person here. I guess what I have to offer is consistency. I can't be here all day, but I try to be around to help at breakfast, again at dinner and for all the challenges. I don't like to argue, I love being here in this beautiful place with great water and a really kool jungle to go exploring in. I love being around my new family here and getting goofy after we have had a really hard challenge. I am someone who will listen if you need someone to talk to. I would like to win my mom & dad a new house and car and all that kool stuff, but as my mom told me before I left home 'I am here to discover new things I can do and meet new people and have kool experiences', if I happen to go home with it all, great, but she will love me no matter what. I am going to make the best of my time here, and hopefully help the rest of the tribe enjoy their adventure. Remember, life is a journey, not a destination."

Inita answers Gia's question, saying "To survive in this game you've got to have grit and guts. I have both. That and a realistic understanding of how the game really works will ensure my survival. Those who are strong enough mentally and physically will be right there along side me. But this group is only as strong as its weakest member. Weakness comes in many different forms - not participating in challenges, being pushy, being judgmental, etc. Our group survival depends on eliminating the weakest member now."

Gia smiles, saying "very good skills indeed. Thank you. Now it's time to vote." One by one each of you walks up to the drum, writes a name and puts it inside. Some take longer to write, agonizing over their decision, but ultimately, there can be only one... Gia gets the drum and begins to read the votes.

"First vote, Meghan" "Second vote, Inita" "Third vote, Meggie" "Fourth vote, Inita" (with the word "sorry" in tiny letters underneath) Gia pauses for the obligatory suspenseful moment....

"Fifth vote, Inita. we could have a tie folks..." She lifts out and reads the final vote, turning it around for all to read. Through the flickering light of the campfire you can clearly see the name "Inita" Gia sadly says "Inita, the tribe has spoken, please bring me your torch." She douses the flame and takes the torch as Inita leaves the clearing. Everyone returns to camp, saddened and tired.

wakes up very late! and decides now is as good a time as any to go fishing! she slips behind a big leaf and changes into her swimming suit and goes to grab the net...

she heads for the beach and the water, thinking about all that happened last night...we have to try and figure out how to make sure that the other team doesn't rip us apart! I just have this feeling that the other tribe will find out our weaknesses and go after them! we need to talk about our own weaknesses and find ways that we can turn them into strengths...but, we are going to have to say what our own weaknesses are...otherwise, from past experience, we will end up hurting each other's feelings again!!! Okay...MY weaknesses are...I'm not always here...I don't know how to build traps or do a lot of the cooking (I am learning though! We all are!!) Let's see..I am way too over sensitive to fighting and disagreements and misunderstandings...they really scare me! Ummmmm....other things that are my weaknesses....I am most of the time, late for challenges...but, that shouldn't be a problem after the merge...although, it will mean that everybody else will have to wait for me...okay...I can't think of any other big ones...let's try and work on our weaknesses...to make ourselves stronger and more ready for the division that I am sure is coming for us!

Lolli you do too know how to make traps. You helped me repair them the other day. I still don't have them in the water due to the merger. I wasn't sure when it would be happening, so I left the traps out of the water. I will run and put some back in the water. Any body want to help? We may not get anything today but Monday we should be having plenty. I did get one taro for everyone. So we have taro for supper and fruit if we have any? Taro has a lot of protien or something like that. My grandpa told me when he was in the Pacific during the war that taro was about the only thing they had to eat.

With Lydia gone I think we are in good shape and have nothing to worry about other than one of us need to win the imunity challenge for the first two weeks. If we can do that they are gone.

Honestly everyone I am getting tired of taro! I want a hamburger! And fries! And a coke! LOL oh well, we are at the half way mark. Maybe Gia has something planned for us. She seems to do pretty good about getting us good food from time to time. But I would love supper from "Mr. Chef" it is this little hamburger place in Gonzalas. Man do they make good hamburgers."
