"Yes, Roxie, it is a nice day!" Mandy jumps up and down excitedly. "I'll look for fruit with you." "I'm getting bored with just hanging around near the camp. Let's really explore today!"

Mandy goes over to the water and peers into the tank. "Ummmm, I think we'd better get some water first and boil it. Then we can go on that walk!" Mandy grabs the empty water bottles and heads toward the stream. "Come on, Roxie, I'll race you!"

"Hi, everyone! We're back!" Roxie forgot to mention what I found...a crab!" "Now I realize one crab isn't a lot, but we can cook it and use it to flavor some rice." Mandy then prepared the crab to be cooked. "Gee, where are the boys today? Hopefully they are able to find some food too." Mandy goes over to help Roxie boil the water.

It's 82 degrees and overcast with fluffy grey clouds in the sky, but no sign of rain, can you believe your luck?! It's a perfect day for clamdiving since the limes are ripe in abundance and if you look you could probably find the giant clams the island is known for, clamshells spiky and the size of a dinner plate! have a nice day :)

oh yes, lovely breeze from the northeast cooling you off!

"Hmmmm, what should I start with...okay, I'll start by explaining my unusual hair color." Mandy holds up her pony tail and shows Roxie her silvery green hair. "I was getting ready to go on this adventure and I started thinking that I wanted to be a little different. Since I'm from Hollywood, that is not unusual. Anyway, I decided to dye my hair green. I thought that would be unusual and that it would blend into the forest. Anyway, I couldn't find green hair dye, so I used fabric dye. I soaked my hair in a big bowl of green fabric dye. It said to soak fabric for 20 minutes, but after just a few minutes, I freaked!" Mandy giggles. "My hair looked so dark and green that I panicked and didn't soak it any longer. I took a nice long shower to wash it out and this silvery green is the color that remained. At first, I cried and cried. I thought it looked so bad. Then, I started to really look at it and I kind of like this shade of color. It is unusual, now isn't it?" laughs Mandy.

You asked what I like to do at home...Hmmm, I like to play with my friends. We do the usual things like play with dolls and play games. That is why I brought my soccer ball. I like to play games." Mandy looks at Roxie and then says, "So, what do you like to do?"

I am going to try and set up the camp scenes today so I need one person to post here of email me how the camp is set up as specifically as possible, whether you have 1 shelter or two, whether the tarp is the roof or leaves, whether you went for a teepee style, square or triangular lean-to style etc... if you have set up any logs as chairs or a table or if your campbox(lid) is used for anything besides storage... I am behind on photos but I will get them up as soon as I can.

Mandy looks around at the campsite. She really is beginning to like this place. There is a Shelter made with the tarp tied under some of the trees. Under the tarp are lots of leaves for a bed for all the Li'l survivors. The tarp is tied up in a triangular style to keep the rain out at the sides. We only have one shelter, that is shared by all. We keep Cobra on one side at night. In the middle is the campfire with the cooking pot. Off to one side are some log chairs we use and they sit around a bigger log table that we rolled into place. The campbox lid is used on top of this log when we want to play Monopoly. It is a cozy camp, even without sleeping bags!

"Well Mandy, let's see. I love to walk in nature, so the island is perfect for exploring each day. Back at home, I walk in a big park near my home. I do aerobic exercise at the gym and work out with weights. I am very fitness oriented and want to take a course to become a personal trainer. I would like to help others to get fit and trim. I like exploring different kinds of foods too. Since I exercise so much, I never put on weight. I like to go to my church and am involved in activities there. I'm really close to my family too. I brought my pillow, because I'm very attached to it and find it hard to sleep at night without it. I love to play soccer, so anytime you'd like to play, I'm game! I am very in touch with my feelings too. I like to share with people how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking. That's why I'm hoping we can all become close friends and learn a lot about each other."

"Yeah like me!!!" she says as she walks over to join Mandy and Roxie for their chat. "Don't worry about your hair Mandy, the color will eventually fade. My Mom went to cosmotology school when she was younger and they got in something new called celophanes, and all the girls did so much to their hair all the time practicing, that when Mom put the dark red celophanes on her hair, her poor overtreated hair soaked it up and she had bright purple hair for several weeks. a friend of hers was in a motorcycle wreck and he broke his leg and was in the hospital. Well Mom and some other friends went to see him and he made Mom come into his room to meet his 2 roommates, 2 older men, he had bet them both money that he knew a girl with purple hair and they did not believe him haha. Mom was pretty wild and crazy in her younger days, I guess I am too in some ways, I love motorcycles, and country music and line dancing and having fun!!!" Looking towards the other kids, she calls them to come over and join in and tell a little bit about themselves too.

"You know, I think I am going to take a walk and see what kind of fruit I can find...or maybe some other stuff...see ya."

Cobra can be heard singing as he leaves camp...some naughty little ditty.

Lola and C.J. have been out looking for clams most of the day. They return to camp, bursting with excitement. "Hey guys," Lola calls, "Guess what we found!"

Cobra returns to camp with a few limes. He has been gone most of the day and wandering around hasn't improved his disposition.

"Here are some limes...I guess we will have them with something...man, this island food sucks! I am so tired of rice and oatmeal! yecch!"

After this announcement, Cobra drops the limes and toots and wanders off to the beach.

"Lola and CJ, what did you find?" Mandy asked excitedly. She was secretly hoping they found something delicious like pizza, but realistically, she was sure it was something else! Mandy got up and ran over to where they were standing. "Well come on, show us!"

"Roxie, let's go see too" then "Clams, and lots of them, alright, tonight we eat like kings!!" the kids then procede to cook up the best batch of clams ever, with rice and lime juice over oatmeal for desert. "Cobra, this food isn't so bad, when we get home we can eat all the goodies we want, right now this experience is more important" Having eaten the kids add a bit more wood to the fire and curl up under their tarp shelter on their soft bed of leaves. Lyda lays her head on a corner of Roxie's pillow, with Mandy on the other side. Lola uses Lyda's ducky raincoat for a pillow tonight, it is still very warm and no blankets are needed, tho something not rustly like leaves to lay on would be nice, but the kids are so tired from a long day of foraging and keeping the fire going, collecting wood and water, they fall asleep almost immediately upon snuggling down.Each dreaming about winning the rewards and immunity challenges this week!!!

Mandy wakes up to a glorious sunrise. She stretches and gathers her clothing for the day: Ocono wrap around shirt, Ocono shorts, and her sandals. She takes care of business and changes quickly before the others awaken. She is not certain, but Roxie may already be awake too. Mandy is quite excited today. The reward challenges have been moved up a day to today and there is much talk about the adult Survivor show on television too. This is going to be a fun day and Mandy is determined to do her best on the challenge. After getting a taste of winning a reward last week, she wants more!

Mandy grabs the water bottles and skips down the path to the stream, fills them up, smells some flowers, and is back before most of the others are awake. She stokes up the fire and starts boiling the water. A monotor lizard runs past camp and pauses to look at her as she works. Mandy doesn't notice, she is so busy. It is going to be a good day.

The skies are grey and it's 80 degress, light short showers come and go but are only cooling rather than annoying today. You wouldn't mind seeing the sun though after all this grey. I am ready to send the challenge at any time now, and the deadline is midnight central time! good luck!

Today's tree mail is written on a barbie doll box! "for takeout delights you need a good memory, some chopsticks and knowledge of a family tree! Of course the game has its twists and bends so you'd better know plenty of family and friends"

By now Mandy can hardly contain herself. "Gee, I wonder what the reward will be this time!" She sees Roxie and Lyda Ruth coming down the path from the stream. "Come on, girls! We have to get to the reward challenge."

Giving cobra a disgusted look at his rude and obnoxious behaviour, then looks around the camp and notices that CJ is missing. "CJ didn't take the challenge and I don't see him anywhere, wonder what happened??? CJ, where are you???" she calls loudly, and starts to look for him. Not being able to find him she crawls into the shelter and lays down next to Roxie, Mandy and near Lola. "Girls, we are having a bad time here for sure, why can't we win every so often?? I'm about ready to give up and go home myself!!!"

Cobra is awake...he is doing his morning routine...which is basically killing all plant life in a ten foot radius and visiting the little boys tree...he is in a good mood this morning and singing army ditties.

"Left, left, left, right, left......" you can hear something about "Grandma, grandma you ain't....." but the rest of it fades into the distance. This is probably a good thing.....after visiting the necessary, Cobra walks off in to the forest.

He seems to spend a bit of time off by himself in the jungle...

"I vote for Tina" "I read somewhere that she and her husband have been discussing a lot of lifestyle changes that point to her being the winner. Although, from what I understand, the final vote was sealed, so who knows?"

Mandy finishes cooking and serving the oatmeal to all those who want some. "I'm getting worried about CJ. He has always been fairly quiet and then to not even show up yesterday is scary!" "Do you suppose he didn't realize there would be a challenge on Tuesday and will report today?" "Oh, I feel so bad for him, if that is the case!"

From Colleen: I could not have programmed a closer finish than this.... It was a VERY close challenge today with EVERYONE particpating (for which I am very glad). I was amazed at how knowledgable many of you were about Barbie, with no less than 4 perfect scores. right down to the last player even I had no clue who would win. This challenge was decided by a single score point, or less than 1 tenth of a percentage.

Mandy wakes up from her restless sleep and wipes her eyes. It is very late in the night and it looks like the others are sleeping. Mandy is too upset to sleep well, so she gets up and drinks some water. Her stomach growls because they have been finding less and less to eat lately. Their reserves of oatmeal are dwindling rapidly. At least they've found an occassional crab! Mandy is still too upset to sleep, so she goes over and sits in the sand and looks out at the ocean. A few dolphin splash in the distance and that cheers her up a little bit. However, the nagging realization that they have to vote another member off the island is unbearable. Who will she vote for? Each member of the tribe is important. Each member seems to bring things to the camp for the good of all. Cobra brings limes often. Lola, Lyda Ruth, and Roxie have caught fish and crabs. I get water and search for bananas daily. C.J. also brings things when he can. There just is no easy choice for Mandy. Oh, who will she vote for. The question is nagging at her and makes her head hurt.

Finally, Mandy gets sleepy from watching the dolphins and their antics. She goes back to the shelter and goes right to sleep...dreaming in nightmares about Friday and the council...

Mandy wakes up to a warm day. She stretches and yawns, then tries to decide what to do first. She decides to wear her beach coverup dress today. She takes care of morning business and then decides to splash around at the edge of the ocean before dressing. She needed a bath anyway. Feeling refreshed, she dresses and returns to grab the water bottles. Today she doesn't skip down the path...there are too many things on her mind. Instead, she slowly walks down the path, thinking as she walks...

As Mandy walks along the path, she notes that there are some bananas up in a tree along the path. She decides to try to reach them. She puts the water bottles down and carefully climbs up the tree to pick a bunch. She is able to reach a bunch of 7 bananas. It is very scary trying to get back down the tree while holding onto these bananas. At one point, she almost loses her footing. Her heart beats faster as she struggles to keep a grip on both the bananas and the tree. "Why didn't I wear my backpack today," she thinks to herself. "This would have been a whole lot easier if I had worn it." Finally, she reaches the ground. Now, the next problem...how to carry two bottles of water and the bananas. After several attempts, she decides to set the empty bottles under a tree and run the bananas back down the path to the camp. She gets to camp and most are still asleep. She sets the bananas on top of the "table" and runs back down the path to grab the empty water bottles. Once she grabs the bottles, she then walks to the stream.

The stream is such a relaxing and peaceful place. She sits down and dangles her feet in the water. The breeze is blowing and she relaxes and quits worrying about tomorrow. Before she knows it, she is asleep. As she sleeps, a couple of hermit crabs come along and one climbs up and sits on her shoulder. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Mandy awakens to find the hermit crabs. "Ugh, get off of me!" she says as she tosses the crab off of her shoulder. Again, she has nothing to carry them in, so she puts both crabs in her skirt and struggles back to camp with the two now full water bottles and the two crabs. Back in camp, all seem to be awake and off doing things. Mandy puts the two crabs down in the empty oatmeal barrel and puts the lid on. She then starts boiling the water. While it is boiling, she gets out her soccer ball and kicks it around camp. She is humming some tune and is feeling a bit more peace than she had last night. The trip to the stream did her a lot of good. Communing with nature always helps to calm her.

It's 81 degrees and only slightly overcast, not a sign of rain in the sky! the waves are a little choppy, but not bad enough not to swim or fish, in fact you can see schools of fish and dolphin about 15 miles offshore. Almost makes you wish you had a boat.

"I've had a nice walk this morning. I think I will go and fish this morning. I feel lucky today.Maybe I'll catch a big tuna? That would be good for us to eat. The dolphins look so playful off shore. And the fish are jumping too. Sure wish I had a boat and a fishing pole! We could have a feast. Oh well, I'm going to put on my swimsuit and get the net and swim out to fish."

Mandy wakes up as the sun rises. She stretches and gets up to take care of morning business. She is dreading tonight's tribal council. She is still trying to decide who to vote for as she goes down to take a quick swim in the shallow area of the ocean. After her swim, she feels cleaner and cooler at least. She puts on the Ocono tank top and Ocono pants and goes back to camp. No one is awake yet or she would ask for company on the trek to the stream. She needs to talk to the others today. She feels that she needs her friends right now. After deciding not to awaken any of the others because they are sleeping so peacefully, she grabs the water bottles and heads to the stream. Today, she doesn't see any bananas ready to pick. "Gee, I sure hope we are able to find some food today. Our rations are getting low!" she thinks to herself.

Back at camp, she starts putting kindling on the fire and starts to see some of the others waking up. "Good, I'll have some company soon. I think we should make today really fun. Maybe we should get a big game of soccer or Monopoly going today." Once the water is over the fire to boil, she cleans up around camp. Boy they were messy yesterday!

I dreamed about tribal council last night and I was the last member of the Ocono tribe and I had to merge with Nicarong and I just knew they were going to vote me off! It was scary! I'm glad that Tina won the adult survivor game. It's time for a woman to win! I say we clean up the camp area and play a game! I sure am thirsty though. I hope our water bottles hold up well. If we get a hole in one of them, we're in trouble! That's a nice fire you have going."

Walks over to get a drink of water and does her morning stretches.

Mandy then helps Roxie set up the Monopoly game. "Come on Lyda Ruth! Come on Lola! Where's Cobra and C.J.?" Mandy calls from the table. "We need to make this a really fun day to take our minds off of our tribal council this evening."

He is crooning softly "It's ok, Junior...it's ok big fella."

Cobra is still talking into the oatmeal container. He reaches in carefully, and if you are watching, you see his arm suddenly move, and he pulls something out of the container.

You see a quick flash of yellow...and something lashing back and forth.

On closer inspection, it becomes obvious that Cobra has found himself a monitor lizard that is about 8 inches long, and he is holding it behind its head, and talking to it.

Mandy puts her hand on Roxie's shoulder and says, "Let's go brainstorm some new and interesting ways to prepare oatmeal!"

From Colleen: The path to Tribal council is becoming too familiar and the thought that crosses the most minds this week, is "How did we end up here AGAIN?!" Everyone enters the clearing and your eyes can't help but be drawn to the two dead torches stacked off to one side. The drum and slips of paper are waiting to be filled. The shadows seem darker tonight, the night a little more stifling as you see your tribe shrink yet again. It's time to send another member home.

As expected Gia has a couple questions first. Gia looks to mandy first. "Mandy, the struggle to choose a new friend to vote off can be torturous. As the game goes on what do you think will help you make your choices of who to kick off?"

Even the question sounds painful to Mandy who was visibly stressed after losing the immunity challenge. She answers "I think it will depend on who I perceive to be an asset to the group. Those who don't contribute are the ones that will be voted against."

Gia pauses then turns to Roxie. "Roxie, you've seen Nicarong win every immunity challenge so far. In fact their confidence had them bragging during the challenge that Ocono WOULD be sending someone home tonight and not them. Have you felt team spirit or that kind of confidence in Ocono camp?"

Roxie has to think about this one before she replies, "I think our tribe as it stands is pretty strong. We had some trouble with full team participation but I think we have that cleared up now. Nicarong might be mightier in numbers, but Ocono has good strategy. I don't think we'll lose the next immunity challenge and I'm confident our team members will go all the way in the game."

Mandy comes back from tribal council in a daze. C.J....voted off...the losses for the tribe were becoming unbearable. Mandy looks over at Lyda Ruth and feels sorry for her. She knows how much Lyda Ruth liked CJ and she knows that she will be upset."Lyda Ruth, are you going to be okay?" she whispers to her friend. She hugs Lyda Ruth and then goes to get a drink of water. Her stomach hurts and she is not sure if it is because of the stress of tribal council, or just hunger. Oh, Mandy is so hungry tonight.

Mandy snuggles down next to Lyda Ruth and far from Cobra and goes to sleep. She tries to think positively that tomorrow will be a better day...ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

"I fell asleep right after Tribal Council last night! I was exhausted for some reason. Maybe more emotionally exhausted than anything. Think I'll go and get some water early. We'll need to make a couple of trips today since tomorrow is Sunday. Maybe 3 trips. I don't want to run out of water! At least we should be able to drink as much as we want, since our food is being rationed. At least we have less people now so that there are more portions available. I wonder what Nicarong tribe is doing to ration their food? There's 8 of them and only 5 of us. They are probably fighting over food! Maybe I'll go fishing after I get the water? A big tuna sounds good!"

How would they react if they were the losers every single time and we were laughing at them and being cocky like nothing could beat us. what I am saying is even if we don't win a single immunity challenge the whole game, they will have to play against each other then, so they will know how it feels to have to vote off your friends one at a time, I think they need to feel that too since we have had to every week so far." Then looking at the girls she says "Girls, if we even hope to have a prayer of a chance, we have to work harder than we have ever worked before and pull together on this, we almost had it last time, we can do it, concentrate and give it your all, let's not let them laugh again, let's laugh at them this next week!!! I myself do not care that you have the lizard, tho I am sure he would rather be free again. I have my own lizard back home, a green iguana named iggy who is very unfriendly to say the least, just wait till the first time JR bites your finger, you may decide to turn him loose!!! but if you insist on having him, they do eat fruit and vegetables, mine does anyway, maybe this one eats rats too, but try the bananas first, see how he likes them. I am gonna go to the beach and see if I can dig up some more clams."

"It says to first cut off its head and at least another 3 inches of the body to remove all poison glands." Mandy looks around to see what everyone's reaction is to that. Mandy tries to help push the tree over too. It is difficult because they are all little children, after all, and they weigh only a "whisper". "I don't think this is gonna work," says Mandy to Cobra. She is fighting hard not to breath the air near that boy. "Lola, what do you say I try to climb it?" With that, Mandy starts to climb the tree. As she gets farther up the tree, it starts to shift and sway from leaning so far over. "Oh, I hope I know what I'm doing!" Mandy thinks to herself. She continues to climb and finally does reach the top. Had she been a bigger, heavier, girl, she might have had a big problem since this tree leans so much! She gets to the bunches of bananas, plucks them off the tree and throws them down with a verbal warning, "Here they come!" They manage to get three bunches of bananas! That should be enough for five hungry children and one hungry lizard! Mandy carefully climbs back down out of the tree without further incidence. "Okay, let's take these back to camp and then help Lyda Ruth and Roxie search for clams."

Mandy wakes up to choral singing. She smiles and stretches. She gets up, takes care of business, and dresses in her Ocono pants and her yellow shirt. "Boy were those clams good last night!" she thinks as she is dressing.

"The oatmeal cookies that the other tribe suggested were great too. We mixed the oatmeal with bananas and water and Mmmmmm!" Mandy goes and gets a drink of water. It is already warm this morning. She sits back down under a tree and waits for some of the others to awaken. Meanwhile, she reads some more from the survivor guide...
