This page is for the meeting of the two tribes Nicarong and Ocono, about to be merged for the final half of the game!

"Welcome!" She waves each person to a nice comfortable spot on a beach blanket. She has a picnic lunch with sandwiches and chips and cold soda! You see another girl with Gia, a young redhead holding a clipboard. There is also a large box nearby to the beach blanket, much like the supply boxes you got when you first arrived on the island.

Gia nods to the girl. "Folks, this is Briene, she is here to take notes today and maybe help me think of questions to ask you."

Gia continues. "The focus of today's get together is to pretty much gather information to make the joining of the two tribes as smoothly as possible. Just let me know when everyone is ready to begin by letting me know you are here. Have a sandwich! the potato salad is great too."

Gia sets out a wooden box full of soda and fruit juices in cans. She takes one herself and waits for the delegates to arrive.

It is nice to eat something that isn't seafood that gets old even for me.

Gia sits back on the beach blanket... "Hi Pierre! now remember this is a public beach so anythign you say here is going to be seen by the other tribe, even if they aren't here yet they'll read it :)

gia says "we've got ham, bologna, cheese, even a turkey and roast beef sandwich..." She smiles. "enjoy!"

Oh I will! but I won't make a pig out of myself. I am here to represent my tribe so I have to watch my manners.

Gia laughs... "there is no shortage of food here, help yourself... you can't bring any back for them though unfortunately. so enjoy it yourself."

Thank you Gia, but I still better not make a pig out of myself it isn't fair that I get to eat all this good stuff and my tribe mates have to eat fish and stuff.

What has been the mood of your camp lately?

We always have a hard time when it comes to voting someone off but we appear to be pulling together as a family now.

who would you say has adapted the best and the least well to the game?

That is a difficult question to answer. We all have appeared to adjusted well to life here, and to the game. We have had a few that seemed to have trouble but they went home. Right now I would say we are all very much into the game and wanting to win. We are FAMILY!

Gia says, okay, then Pierre, I'd like (and I'll ask Ocono the same question) to kow what for each member of your tribe is their greatest strength and least weakness. You must answer this one "

So I have to answer that? mmmm I would say Lolli is a peace maker, and a great girl. Her weakness would be her cooking. She tries, but it is hard to make things taste real good under these circumstances. Aggie is just as sweet as the day is long, if she has a weakness it is her worrying over voting people off, that bothers her so much. Maggie is a great organiser, and very strong emotionally, her weakness is that she doesn't cook that much when she does it is pretty good but she generally goes to bed early and misses out on the evening meal just gets up to eat and goes back to bed. But that is OK because she gets up early and fixes breakfast and gets the fire going in the morning. Trey is a great provider, he also suffers when we vote someone off. it really bugs him. I guess it really bugs most of us but him and Aggie it really gets too. Then there is my self, I am a provider and my weakness is I read too much into little things and let them bother me.

Actually i would like some chairs the logs hurt my backside. (snicker) I like the way we are set up other than that we have sleeping quarters that have been well maintained. one for two people and one for 6 people the split between girls and boys in the beginning. It has become home. Hey I would like a refridgerator! But we don't have no place to plug it in.

I would like some more pots and pans. that would be nice. I would also like a camp stove, you know one that runs off of butain maybe that would allow us to cook on Sundays. Maybe some padding for under the sleeping bags. That ground does get hard. I would also like to get more things to hold water that way we don't always have to go to the stream all of the time. I know there is more but I can't think of them right now. I wish I could!!!

Gia asks Bri to note all those things down and she'll ask the producers. the buitane stove would still be an open fire according to the religious laws.. but other than that she will see. She also tells Pierre he can have 1 cookie for every question he can answer in 2 minits or less hahah!!!!

We at Nicarong always have such a hard time voting someone off. We all have our opinions and are stubborn and it ends up hurting feelings. We discuss it to such length. Like any family it can get to you the discussions and results of those discusions. It just pulls on your soul a bit. But like a family once it is said and done we pull back together and act and help each other as family.

Yes we are family and want one of us to win. Yes i am sure we would all like to win but we realize that is not possible. I also feel that if one began to act like that is all there is to life is winning we would vote them off for betraying the family because that is not how a family acts.

"Realize we producers see most of what happens and so to our point of view, sometimes we have to wonder if players are merely preferring the polite blind eye to the fact most of the members are in it to win as individuals. Not all are, but most. Do you think that is a reality Nicarong and Ocono would like, but are happy to accept the illusion even if it is not the reality?"

Yes can we stay at the Nicarong camp It isn't for any reason other than we have everything set up for this number of people and we have the playground Trey built. Also we have the traps and things there it would be easier for everyone to move Ocono there. We would even help tham move. I would also like to welcome the Ocono tribe members to our family. We will help make your time on the island fun and enjoyable.

First question was from Briene, so I will answer that one first. Yes every family has a leader. But we don't seem to have a clear cut leader. we all take turns depending on what is going on. One person may take the lead if it is something they are good at or we vote to see how it happens.

It will come down to volunteers and if none. then we vote our consience. That is all we can do. I realize their are imunity challenges coming up and Ocono may win them and one of them may hang in there till the end. That is out of my control and I wish them well on it. All I know is I will do my best to win those. That is all I can do.

I also have another comment on that. If an Ocono makes themselfs useful and helpful they may be considered Nicarong and treated as such. This is something I can not tell until the two tribes merge.

"I would prefer discussing it with Mandy before agreeing to move to your camp instead of a new one. I think it might be a bit unfair to us since you are all familiar with the terrytory, where to find food, etc. But I am not 100% against the idea. I would just feel better discussing it with her before making a decision."

She takes another bite.

"As for food, we have been very successful working together as a tribe to find fruit. We have discovered some interesting ways to use taro. And Mandy has devised a fish trap that has kept us well fed."

Yes she sounded concerned over our knowing our area. I just wanted her to know that we will share all the food we gather and not feed them that would be cruel and we would not do that.

Also Pierre has compared the merger to families, with the cousins coming to visit. Do you agree with that analogy? if so do you think you will blend with the new family or keep to your core family?

Lola takes a bite, focusing on the third question. "Changes? Hmmmm. I would welcome more comfortable sleeping arrangements. We haven't had any sleeping bags and it's been hard sleeping on leaves. I'd like our new camp to have plenty of shade because I've learned how hot and humid it can be here on Kosrae. It would be nice to have a different type of cooking arrangement - either a type of stove or at least a fire area that wouldn't run such a risk of going out with the winds. Have I answered that sufficiently?"

Lola smiles sweetly at Pierre. "We appareciate that. We were a little worried." She continues on to the next question. "Well, there are only two of us left now and I will try to be objective. Mandy's strength is in her personality. She is very sweet and hard working. Her fault, if you can call it that, is that she is also very sensitive. It has been hard for her to vote people off and she cries easily. My greatest strength has been my ability to organize and try to look at things logically. My weakness?" She giggles. "Gia, don't you know I don't have any weaknesses? Seriously, I think it is that have been very depressed over the way some of our challenges have gone. It has been hard for me to vote off my friends - and even harder when we have lost by a fraction of a point."

Gia laughs, "confidence is a good thing at this point Lola. Yes I can see that is has been tough to lose by so little sometimes. I imagine it was also a little scary for Nicarong to win by that little. shake their confidence perhaps."

Lola thinks about the family question. "Well, if we are like the cousins joining a family, for us it is a very scary thing. It is more like the first day of school to us. The Nicarongs are like the kids who were together in one class all last year and we are like the new kids. We aren't sure if they will like us or not. Especially since we are so outnumbered."

Gia it has been hard and we have lost by just a point oo. that is the hardest thing to deal with.

Lola looks at Pierre. "I think sometimes we all forget that we are all going through the same thing and that it is tough on all of us."

Lola nods. "We were not trying to be mean. I think we were just afraid that you were all going to say 'nah nah nah we're beating you' and we wanted to defend ourselves. We felt really bad when you all sent such encouraging messages."

Lola nods. "Yes, it is a little hard. But we are lucky in that we still have pretty much food so we don't have that to worry about."

Lola shrugs. "Hopefully we will get better acquainted with our new tribemates and they will see we are an asset to the group and won't vote us off. But if they do, that's the way it goes. We have done our best and, under the circumstances, I am happy we have made it this far."

Yes I do if they come in and be helpful they stand a chance. It will be an uphill battle! I won't lie to you all. But if you blend in you do stand a chance. But I will tell you again it will be an uphill battle, It is nothing personal.

I Don't have a question but do have a comment. I will not lie to you all or whisper behind your back. If I have something to say I will say it. If you ask me a question in the open I will answer it. If I can. Or I will tell you that "I can't devolge that" But i will be honest to you!

Lola thinks. "Well, I just wondered how things work in your tribe. Not sure if this is allowed or not, but in ours, different people seemed to be responsible for different things and, if one was feeling bad or something, the others would take over. Do you all support each other like that or is it every many for himself?"

Lola nods. "I appreciate that, Pierre. I am upfront too. I may not like everyone but I try to get along with them. And I am the first one to complain if someone is not doing their share of the work."

We help each other! If someone doesn't feel good we pick up the slack we take turns cooking and cleaning the dishes. we keep our own stuff cleaned up. and we try to be there for each other.

I do have a question "Trey and I noticed that you all voted of the boys early in the game. This concerned us, do you have a problem with boys? I am sorry to ask but we just noticed they left fairly quick."

Gia just breaks outlaughing at that question and almost spills coke out her nose

Lola shakes her head emphatically. "Oh no, we like boys. We just had some problems with the boys on our tribe. One of them missed challenges and the other had a problem with stinking up our camp and bringing in all kinds of weird pets. They both didn't do much work, but kept to themselves or tried to terrorize us. It had nothing to do with them being boys."

That is the best way to be. Up front and honest. Although I will pitch in and do the work if someone else is busy or doesn't want to do it.

OK what do you mean stink up the place did he leave dead fish laying around? Do you understand our concern?

Lola thinks a minute. "Do you hold any grudges against us for anything we said or did?"

I have a question for both Pierre and Lola. Do you think the new tribe will have assigned chores to all the tribe members? Or will it just be who ever does it first kind of thing?

Lola, we don't hold grudges we realized that you all were having a hard time of it all and you have been good sports all along.

Lola tries to explain delicately. "One boy had a problem with gas and he didn't try to hide it. He never even apologized. And it was really gross." She turns to Gia. "As for chores, I think that once we merge, we will all see where our strengths and weaknesses lie and take it from there. We may all have set chores but I think that if one person is particularly good with the fire, that will be there job. Or catching fish or whatever. We need to work together but I don't think we can answer for sure until we all get acquainted and see who can do what."

I think we will just pitch in and do it as it is needed. That way people that are sick can take a break if needed like the way we have done it all along.

Oh I think on one it was a personality thing another wanted to go and voluntered and the third I think people thought they didn't do enough during the day and only showed up for the challenges. So as little bit of everything.

Lola eats another chip. "Thanks. I just wondered if you had troublemakers like we did."

No one overheard me whispering and got mad and threw a fit and wouldn't let it go. So that is why I won't whisper anymore. We have had disagreements and have argued but not really anmy trouble makers.

Gia opens the box and says "Okay, I think we should wrap this up, but if anyone still has a pressing question, please do ask it."

"In the meantime..." she pulls out 1 one of, a can of chili, a can of spaghettios, a can of beef stew and a can of cream of mushroom soup. She sets them in a row in front of Piere, then sets a row just like it in front of Lola

Gia says "This is a game of truth or dare, but the dare must be done AFTER the merger and can be anything you like from 'fetch me food' to 'kiss my feet' or 'wash my clothes' to 'tell such and such they are a stinkface'. You are on the honor system about the dares and also for the truth. You don't have to answer, but if you do... then you get one of the cans in front of you. if you don't answer you must do the dare later and you don't get the can of food. 4 questions each, they can be about ANYTHING. I mean ANYTHING within the game. It goes no further than this beach. please take turns (rolling dice) Ocono goes first... also pelase say whether you are answering as the representative of your tribe or just as a player... (Ie; Lola or Ocono).....

Lola laughs. "Pierre, is your daddy a lawyer?" She thinks. "The only thing I can really think of is that I called one member a deadbeat because he didn't participate much. He never did any work and he missed some of the challenges. It was my opinion and that's why I said it. But maybe I should have taken him aside and asked him to explain why he wasn't helping like the rest of us. Maybe he had a good reason."

Research was tough just because I don't always read the question all the way through. I enjoyed the ones like the last one we lost that was fun. and the rat and snake one was fun.

Lola if you were presented with the opurtunity to join an alliance at this point and it involved you having to vote Mandy off for you to join would you do it?

Lola laughs. "Looks like we think alike, Gia."

Lola thinks. "Yes, I probably would. Because we have all said that if one of us makes it to the end, it is a victory for all of us. So even though Mandy is my friend, I think she would understand. And similarly, I would understand if she did it to me."

She was honest about it that is all I can ask for. she has a tendency to get evil but the producers are here to protect us. If anythin gadmitting to the knife thing shows she is honest.

Gia says finally "there were 3 goals for today, to be perhaps a bridge for the 2 tribes to TRULY become one for the final game, to allow you to ask us about the merger or the game, and to give you a chance to deal frankly with each other before there are no more secrets (well, maybe a few) and are all in the same camp."

Gia then pulls one more can for each out of the box, a can of ravioli. She says "this is going to be buried here on challenge beach by the falls. When you choose to dig it up is up to you. it cannot be at night. It can be with each other, with the whole tribe, or not at all... You CANNOT take the other's can, only your own. Thank you cfor comign today."
