3 pts. for each complete correct line; 12 pts. for all. incomplete lines get no points. Each line needs the girl's name, color and pattern of the fabric used. 4 Wee lasses are playing with the fabrics in their mum's sewing basket, each one clever enough to put together a new frock for her dolly. Stitch together the clues into a proper answer telling me each girl's name and the color and print of the doll dress she made.
The girl who made the red gingham dress for her doll
was not Frieda. Shawna made a green dress, but not
in polka dots. The girl who made a plaid dress and the
girl who made a blue dress have names that end in the
same letter. Mindy's dress was prettier than the
striped dress, but not as pretty as Candy's purple dress.

3 pts. for each complete correct line; 12 pts. for all. incomplete lines get no points. Each line needs the scientist's name, when and from where he expects the aliens. An alien intelligence sent a message to the SETI scientists, leaving them to decipher and debate the message contained therein. 4 Professors work night and day until each is convinced when and from where the aliens will be arriving. Abduct a few clues and probe them carefully. Transmit to me each Professor's name, and when and from where he thinks the aliens will arrive.
Professor Spacely is sure the aliens will visit us from Mars. The Alpha Centaurans
are predicted to arrive in 2025. Juneau doesn't believe in the existence of our
sister planet Midori, much less the presence of aliens there. Harriman is convinced
the aliens will reach us in 2102. The creatures from Saturn are expected in 2010.
Frederico does not think the aliens will arrive in 1999 or 2010.

3 pts. for each complete correct line; 12 pts. for all incomplete lines get no points. Each line needs a first and last name, and occupation. Mike invites 3 pals over to watch a football game between the Bears and the Packers. Check the starting lineup and correctly identify each person's first name, last name, and occupation.
Two of the guests were Donna and the building contractor.
Hugh, whose last name isn't Horner, is a loyal Bears fan.
Donna is not the dentist. Jenkins, an avid Packers fan, went home
before the game was over, following an apparently conclusive touchdown in the
fourth quarter, which put the Bears in the lead. Jessica and Mr. Anderson, both Packer fans,
celebrated together as the Packers won the game with a last minute touchdown.
The programmer was the last to go home, but was not named Blakely.
Horner is neither the building contractor nor the statistician.
