Tribal Council # 3
Ocono Tribe

The path to Tribal council is becoming too familiar and the thought that crosses the most minds this week, is "How did we end up here AGAIN?!" Everyone enters the clearing and your eyes can't help but be drawn to the two dead torches stacked off to one side. The drum and slips of paper are waiting to be filled. The shadows seem darker tonight, the night a little more stifling as you see your tribe shrink yet again. It's time to send another member home.

As expected Gia has a couple questions first. She lets everyone settle in a circle around the fire, then she turns her stoic gaze to the children.

Gia looks to Mandy first. "Mandy, the struggle to choose a new friend to vote off can be torturous. As the game goes on what do you think will help you make your choices of who to kick off?"

Even the question sounds painful to Mandy who was visibly stressed after losing the immunity challenge. She answers "I think it will depend on who I perceive to be an asset to the group. Those who don't contribute are the ones that will be voted against."

Gia pauses then turns to Roxie. "Roxie, you've seen Nicarong win every immunity challenge so far. In fact their confidence had them bragging during the challenge that Ocono WOULD be sending someone home tonight and not them. Have you felt team spirit or that kind of confidence in Ocono camp?"

Roxie has to think about this one before she replies, "I think our tribe as it stands is pretty strong. We had some trouble with full team participation but I think we have that cleared up now. Nicarong might be mightier in numbers, but Ocono has good strategy. I don't think we'll lose the next immunity challenge and I'm confident our team members will go all the way in the game."

Finally Gia turns to CJ. "CJ, the stress of the challenges is starting to get to people. What do you think is the single most important ability needed to win them?"

He seems to clutch his torch a little tighter as he answers "The thing I think we'll need to win is calmness and precaution in the challenges."

Gia nods. "Very true CJ. It's time to vote." Each player steps to the drum and casts their vote, some taking longer than others, but finally the drum is brought to Gia to count the ballots.

Gia pulls out the drum stopper and begins to read the votes.

"First vote, Cobra."
"Second vote, CJ."

She looks each of the boys in the eye, letting them prepare for the possibility of being sent home tonight.

"Third vote, CJ."
"Fourth vote, Cobra."

"That's 2 for Cobra, 2 for CJ. It could go either way."
"Fifth vote, CJ."

She pauses her usual torturously long time before turning the last vote around for everyone to read. "Final vote, CJ. CJ, bring me your torch. The tribe has spoken."

CJ takes a long look around the clearing at his tribe members then brings Gia his torch. she closes the gourd over its end until the flame is extinguished and CJ leaves the clearing.

Gia looks at the remaining members of Ocono. "You've gone from eight to five members. I'll see you Wednesday."
