YOUR VOTE DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Gun Owners can have a really loud voice in Washington if we would just stand together.  This rally is as much to call on the gun owning public as it is to warn politicians that their continued terms of office depend on their willingness to uphold and defend the freedoms that so many have fought and died to protect.

Please take special note of the following statistics.

There were 196,511,000 people of voting age in 1996 according to the Federal Election Commission. Now, only 96,456,345 people voted, also according to the FEC. Finally, Clinton got 47,401,185 votes, 49.24% of those who voted. Now, simple math will tell you that Clinton was elected by 24.12% of the voting age public.

Let's take a quick look at the math.

     96,456,345 voters
     -------------------   =  49.24%
     47, 401,185 votes
     196,511,000 people of voting age
     -----------------------------------  =  24.12%
     47,401,185 votes

Now, according to Funk and Wagnalls Online Encyclopedia there are currently 70,000,000 gun owners in the United States.  By default, a gun owner must be 18, and not a convicted felon, and thus is part of the voting age public.  What does this mean?  Well, first off, it means that gun owners make up 35.62% of the voting age population.

     196,511,000 people of voting age
     ----------------------------------  =  35.62%
     70,000,000 gun owners

Now, let that number sink in a bit, and think about it.  If Clinton was elected by 24% of the population, and gun owners make up 35% of the population, why did he win?  BECAUSE WE DIDN'T VOTE!!!  At least, I hope no gun owners voted for Clinton after the legislation he has been pushing to deny us our Second Amendment rights!

So, the next time you think your vote doesn't count, remember, that if we stand together, we can elect ANY candidate we want.

Please note that I say "We" referring to Gun Owners as a group.  I voted.  And not for Clinton.

And yes, I also know blinking text is annoying.  I used it because I AM ANNOYED that Gun Owners are willing to whine and cry about their rights being stripped away, but as a group are unwilling to do the simple task of voting to stop it.  The pen is mightier than the sword.  What gives anyone the right to kill for a right they refused to vote for?  Got you riled up a bit?  Good, then go vote.  And if you already vote, this paragraph doesn't apply to you (obviously).

35% vs. 24%   Your vote DOES make a difference!
