The Bucharest Bugle: Issue 34-36A

 

These are the feet of a crucified Christ figure. The artistic style is from the very realistic school.

This is the burial site of one of the hundreds who died in Brashov in the revolution of December 1989. The tombstones indicated that those who died were both male and female, young and old varying in age from 6 to 67.

This is hard for an American to grasp fully.

Above is a bit of "socialist realism" as provided by the Securitate forces under Ceausescu. These are bullet holes in the concrete side of a building near where the opposition was focused in December of 1989.
