Urban Redevelopment and Cruise Missiles

It may stretch a point but it is possible to view Cruise missiles as agents of urban redevelopment. They not only render certain structures unusable but prepared them for demolition, rather like Urban Redevelopment in the late 1950s. Cruise missile also share other characteristics with redevelopment efforts of that period: reuse of facilities was not a consideration and demolition was the highest value.

So, below, we look at some photos of the fine work of the these airborne bulldozers.

Above is the PTT (Post Office, Telephone and Telegraph) building. It would appear that the Cruise missile entered near the roof. Damage at the other end of the building suggests a second hit as well.
Above is a picture of a portion of the Serbian Army barracks near the airport. I am told that we signaled our intention to attack the site so there was no loss of intelligent life in this attack but the effect was clearly evident. I can't explain the pile of cars in the foreground.
Above, a close up of the former Serb Police Headquarters in downtown Prishtina. The fourth and fifth floor conditions suggested that the Cruise missile entered about there.
Above, the other side of the Serb Police Headquarters building. What more can I say?
Above, an instance of "collateral damage". This building is about 20 meters from the PTT building shown at the top of this page. Its principle damage seems to be in the loss of window glass, probably from the concussion caused by the explosion. There is some additional damage in the lowest floors nearest the PTT building but it does not seem to be structural.
