Below is a picture of the octagonal gul [design] that is the heart of
the standard Teke design. The dominant color is wine red with touches
of white, black, and orange. The outer edge of the carpet also has some
forest green. This is the same carpet shown on the main carpet page (from
which you just linked).

Above is another example of
a Teke pattern. Note that the octagon design of the gul is preserved
but light brown replaces the orange of the lower left and upper
right of the gul and the designs between the guls are different. |
