The Lobby of the Pittsfield Building
Here is a classic brass mail box with two chutes. This did more than collect letters, it proclaimed the magnificence of the building.
The intricately worked brass doors of the elevators gleam after a restoration a few years ago.
The ceiling is the crowing masterpiece. Hand carved hand-painted wood! One thinks of a medieval monastery in Europe.
