~*~*~*~Magdalena~*~*~*~ an ooak creation by Colleen Kelly Spengler
brought to you by Minxworks... Magdalena is formerly a Performing Maria doll, and wears a lovely embroidered cotton gown in a deep dusty rose shade. Her outfit is entirely removable and includes a fan. A white flower blooms in her hair, and she features a full repaint.
The theme of this swap was to use recycled materials as much as possible. I did just that, using the sleeve edge from a lovely blouse I bought on sale, not seeing the stain on the back. As a blouse it was unwearable, but the intricate embroidered edges I saved as trim. I added more embroidery for her ruffle and fan, using lace remnants for the ruffles. Her snap is recycled from previous project, and even the doll itself is recycled from the 6 Performing Marias I had to buy to get their silver swimsuits for the Nicarong tribe in my Lil Survivor game. The flower in Magdalena's hair is also recycled from the scenery of the Lil Survivor game.
