The girls take a drive from Chicago to Racine Wisconsin, where Chazz's mother has a farm and lovely house on 5 acres of land.
Karla, Darla, and Shandra stare out the huge windows looking out over all the fields. Grandma Mary's land runs all the way behind those trees, where she has a small stream running thru the farm.

As they look out behind the house, to the south, they see tons and tons of soybean plants, with patches of wildflowers too, and later Grandma Mary will show them some of her flower garden she has built.

|
Shandra tells them how the soybeans are not like green beans or lima beans, but they are hairy and fuzzy! |

From the kitchen window they can see all the way to the back of the farm, just behind those trees and behind a little stream.

The girls go out on the balcony to feel the breeze! It faces east and Shandra tells them, that again, Grandma's land goes all the way past the trees, and that the stream curves around a little bit and is behind some of the trees way far off.

To the northeast, the girls can see some of the garden! Grandma has been building ledges and rows and circles, with different plants and vegetables on each level, and tons of flowers everywhere. She gathers the rocks herself and makes all the walls and builds it up as she goes.

Karla and Shandra walk around the balcony and Shandra points out all the new trees Grandma planted by the house. They are only 2 years old, but Mommy Minx gave her a pear tree, and apple tree and a peach tree to grow there. The girls can almost touch the apple tree from the balcony edge.
