Our Easter was somewhat different from those of previous years.
Some of our family members have been accepted into Heaven, some have
moved out of town, some of the young adults are away at college,
and some family members are away on vacation. Thus, those of us
who remain found it necessary to perform a "corporate shuffle"
and move our Easter celebration to new venues.
This year we were invited to spend Easter Sunday
with Don and Barbara and their family. We were very grateful for
their invitation and were delighted to spend the day with relatives
that we do not see as often due to the distances involved. Let it
be known that we felt entirely welcome and comfortable, as the
long-time family traditions of food, ambiance, amenities and loving
family were preserved, just as in the "old" days when we met for
holiday celebrations at the homes of George and Annette, Dick and
Marie, Fred and Irene, Henry and Josephine, Sig and Claire, Anne and
Duane, Duane and Lataine, Mike and Theresa, Ed and Annette,
George and Lucille, Michael and Sharon, Rick and Emma, Martin and
Esther, Bob and Candy,
and Craig and Marge.
Taking a moment to remember those mentioned above
who are no longer with us, let us be thankful that we can still meet
together and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord, good food, and
loving family.
Happy
Easter to all of you, wherever you celebrated.
