TITLE: 4 Layer Desert
  REFERENCE: loose paper


   FIRST LAYER:
   1 1/2 cups flour                       3/4 cups nuts chopped
   3/4 cups butter or margarine(melted)





  Mix well.  Pat in 9x13 pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  Allow to cool.  (Freeze for 1-2 hours so next layer spreads
  easily.)


   SECOND LAYER:
   1 (8 oz) cream cheese(softened)   1 cup powdered sugar
   1 cup Cool Whip





  Mix well and spread over FROZEN crust; chill.


   THIRD LAYER:
   2 (3 1/2 oz) pkgs instant pudding   3 cups cold milk
   1 tsp vanilla





  Mix all and spread over second layer; cool.


   FOURTH LAYER:
   1 cup Cool Whip (I use leftover from a 9 oz container)



  Spread over pudding layer and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

  Refrigerate except for the first layer; you need wait only 10
  minutes between layers.  You can use any flavor pudding you like.
  You can prepare this desert ahead; it stays fresh several days if
  covered.
