Interfaith Service

Fifteenth Annual Thanksgiving Interfaith Service.

Hosted by the Benedictine Monks of St. Procopius Abbey, Lisle, Illinois

People of many faiths and cultures gather together to celebrate peace, freedom and solidarity with this annual Thanksgiving service. Among the religious groups participating in the service are the Roman Catholic Benedictine monks, Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jewish, Zoroastrian, Theosophist, Baha'i, Byzantine Catholic and Protestant religious traditions. Together they share an evening of their own prayers, music and sacred texts. Cindy opens the evening with a community sing-along of American folk songs. This was her fifth year participating in this unique event.
