Q: What are the legal rights regarding photos that people took around the set area (in public) in Vancouver while you guys were filming. Let's say I saw a TARDIS standing on a hill (with tons of lights conveniently lighting it up for me) May I put such photos on my home page on the internet? What if Paul McGann or Sylvester McCoy were in the photo? May I post THAT on my home page?

Phil: I believe that photo's taken in a public place that are used for private consumption are fine. If the photo's are sold, then I believe that does constsitute copyright infringement and the studio could sue. Let's put it this way, I would for one would not want to go up against any studio that might attempt to sue, too expensive :)
