Q: Did you get the TARDIS materialization and dematerialization sounds from the BBC or did you make them for the movie?

Why was there no humming sound inside the TARDIS like there had always been in the series? What made you decide not to use it?

Phil: The Tardis sounds are all from the original series. We used took them from the sound effects CD that the BBC put out celebrating 30 years in the Tardis. I've seen it at conventions.

The hum is in the show but the music and sound effects are wall to wall. Unfortunately, Universal would not pay for us to mix the show in surround so a lot of the depth of sound is lost during transmission. Especially if you recorded the show on a vcr that can't record in stereo.
