Q: Had Eric Roberts or Daphne Ashbrook ever seen Doctor Who before being offered the roles? - 4/8/96

Phil: Daphne did not know who The Doctor was and that was very refreshing. It simply meant that she was very surprised and enchanted with the character in a real way. Eric Roberts is very familiar with Doctor who. Eric studied at RADA in the 70's and watched Jon Pertwee episodes.
