Command Post of the Knights of the Holy Cross in Eger

The dominion of the command post of the Knights of the Holy Cross [Kreuzherren-Commende] in Eger consists of the command post building in the city of Eger, the so-called Spitalhof, conscribed to the Bruckthor suburb, two dominical villages, and portions of a great number of villages of other dominions. All these possessions came to the command post starting in the 13th century by gifts, bequests, and foundations, and they are administered as an independent dominion by an economic superintendent and a Justiziär [a position in the legal system. The owner is the order of the Knights of the Holy Cross in Prague, and its beneficiary is whoever is the commander [of the order] at the time.
