Vogtei [Governance] Stein

The Steinhaus in Eger was, as already mentioned in the description of that city on p. 312, confiscated by the Crown of Bohemia and, along with the associated sources of income, it was sold on 28 June 1813 to Lord Kaspar Wilhelm (after 1824 von Helmfeld), owner of the estate Altenteich. In 1843, his son Johann Wilhelm von Helmfeld obtained it [by inheritance, see above]. It is consolidated with the books of the royal office of the castle count in Eger and is under the political and jurisdictional administration of the estate St. Clara, which belongs to the same owner.

The components of the Estate are: the Steinhaus in Eger, 2 half meat counters there, several mortgages, and a number of farms in various towns of the Egerland.

The usable area of the subjects consists of 247 Joch 723 sq.Kl. of fields, 68 Joch 1068 sq.Kl. of meadows and gardens, and 28 Joch 447 sq.Kl. of forests and pasture, together 344 Joch 638 sq.Kl.

The livestock numbers in 1837 were: 146 head cattle (1 breeding bull, 44 cows, 18 heifers, 63 working oxen, 20 young oxen) and 42 sheep (30 adults, 12 lambs).

The properties in villages of other dominions are:

(1) of Sirmitz (city dominion of Eger), 8 houses;

(2) of Trebendorf (same dominion), 11 houses;

(3) of Unter-Losau (same dominion), 1 house;

(4) of Ober-Kunreut (same dominion), 1 house; and

(5) of Fleißen (estates Wildstein), 1 house.
