• The Lake Forest Open Lands Association is a private land trust in northeastern Illinois. Its land holdings include valuable breeding grounds for many uncommon bird species.

Ornithology Education

Locally, it is possible to obtain certificates in ornithology at the following institutions:

• The Morton Arboretum in Lisle.
• A variety of ornithology classes, some with field trips, are offered through the College of DuPage, see listings under Biology, Zoology, and Field Studies.

Other area colleges and universities may also offer curricula in ornithology.
