TITLE: SIXTEEN CANDLES RATING/DESC: (PG); FAIR; TEENAGE COMEDY Oh the agony of being 16 years old: Her sister's marriage upstages her birthday, the school dreamboat won't pay any attention and a freshman "geek" tries to seduce her. The frantic, low-brow, teenage comedy, starring Molly Ringwald in the pivotal role, is a mixture of hip, corny dialogue and bad taste humor. Characters are mostly familiar, but interesting at times. Also with Anthony Michael Hall and Michael Shoeffling. |
