A comedy-drama concerning five high school students who bare
their emotions during a nine-hour detention period in the
school library. The confined situation unfolds like a
drawn-out group therapy session. It is propelled mostly on
caustic dialogue which becomes annoying at times. The
ensemble acting, by a talented young cast, is commendable.
Yet the film is padded and repetitious. Stars Emilio
Estevez, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.
