JOHN CANDY BEGINS FILMING 'UNCLE BUCK' IN CHICAGO

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Jan. 20 /PRN/ -- John Candy has
begun principal photography in Chicago on the John Hughes
comedy
"Uncle Buck" for Universal Pictures. Candy stars in the
title role
as a ne'er-do-well bachelor who's left in charge of his
nephew and
two nieces, ages 6-15. Now, who's going to keep an eye on
Uncle
Buck?
Amy Madigan stars as his disgruntled girlfriend. Buck's
three
young charges are played by Gaby Hoffman, Macaulay Culkin and
Jean
Kelly, who makes her big screen debut.
John Hughes directs from his original screenplay. Hughes
and
Tom Jacobson produce. The executive producer is Ray
Hartwick.
The associate producer is Ramey Ward. The director of
photography
is Ralf Bode, and the production designer is John Corso. The
costume
designer is Marilyn Vance. The editor is Lou Lombardo.
Universal has scheduled "Uncle Buck" for a summer 1989
release.
