LanguageDoctor.com is a family owned and operated business. Commercializing it so that it can be supported properly is our long-term goal, but at this point we're concentrating on building up the capabilities and quality of the service and growing the size of the user base.

Dr. Michael Kenniston earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University and has 15 years experience as a software engineer in industry, including over 9 years at Bell Laboratories. He also served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at DePaul University for 3 years, where he taught computer science full-time. He remains on the adjunct faculty there as a Lecturer, does software development for a major financial firm, and continues to develop LanguageDoctor.com in his "spare" time.

Michael originally created this site because he likes to learn foreign languages but is terrible at memorization. Since that difficulty is hardly unique, it made sense to share any tools he could create with other students who could make good use of them.

Rosemary DiNardo is a fine artist with her own business, Numina Studio. She helps with the design aspects of LanguageDoctor.com and gives general advice and support.

Our two children were both born in China, which gives us added motivation to master the language.
