About . . .
Law Enforcement Legal Publications

One of the primary needs for law enforcement agencies today is training. Without adequate training materials, an agency and its personnel are easy targets for law suits. To be comprehensive and effective, training must encompass both criminal law and civil liability.

The publications of Law Enforcement Legal Publications helped to fill that need at the national and state levels for over forty years.

James P. Manak, Former Publisher

In addition to serving as Amicus Advocate for Americans for Effective Law Enforcement, Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Manak is Adjunct Counsel at The Center for Public Safety, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois; Adjunct Professor of Law at John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois; and has served as consultant to the National District Attorneys Association.
